Update for my hubby. Well he had his second stage 2 stent angioplasty today, 8 weeks after his HA and first 2 stents. He still has severe left ventricular dysfunction but is feeling more positive at last. He’s even got dates for cardiac rehabilitation too. After a rough couple of months, both emotionally

My medical history is pretty complex, I'm seen locally at the Bristol Heart Institute but also under the care of the Cardio-oncology team at the Royal Brompton which a forum member told me about years ago thankfully. Basically my bone marrow transplant and other

High Calcium score
Hello, I was diagnosed with unstable angina last April, and had CT Angiogram and Calcium score scan. Results came back that I had severe blockages in 3 arteries and a Calcium score of 525 which put me in the highest percentile for a 69 year old woman. I had my angiogram and angioplasty in Sepember. angioplasty with stent
had stent put in rca on Tuesday . The pain in my arm is horrendous and hot to the touch . Is this to be expected with the trauma ? And the acid reflux is quite bad . Reading up on it could be side effect to clipidogrel . Any here had similar issues

Hubby having cabg X4 on Thursday
Hubby had a very mild heart attack 2 weeks ago. Kept in hospital then after a week sent to a specialist hospital in Sheffield to have angioplasty and stents. They immediately kept him in Sheffield hospital and he's having a quadruple bypass this Thursday. Feeling so scared and although they are fantastic

Arm pain
Hi everyone I had a heart attack at the beginning of May followed by Pericarditis. I had angioplasty procedure. My recovery is going well albeit slowly. The area that I am looking for some advice on is the pain that I have felt in my upper arms since then. I thought this would have subsided but mI

Just diagnosed with 4.0 cm aneurysm of ascending aorta and severe calcification
Hi Friends I cannot express how shocked and dismayed I am finding out that I have severe calcification of my aorta and a 4.0 cm aneurysm. I have read that the aneurysm can be monitored yearly with imaging but there is nothing that can be done for the calcification. In the past 3 years, I have had

Tapering
This year has not been good. Recovering from Arterial ulcer on left leg, which needed angioplasty to restore the blood flow below the knee. Healing better than expected. Then I managed to fall out of our home lift and break my left femur, near the replacement knee which has been put in 23 years ago.

Angioplasty Renal Artery Stenosis
I am 59 years old, CKD stage 4, eGFR 20, single kidney with renal artery stenosis and resistant hypertension. I had an angioplasty in 1983 which succeeded in lowering blood pressure somewhat and a further angioplasty in 1991 where they believed it did not change much. Thinking since then has been that

angioplasty
I am 66 I am going for an angioplasty on the 27th November with the possibility of a stent in LAD. Very nervous. I have had LBBB since in my early 30’s so always got a slight tight chest on hills, i had an angiogram in 2012 and an MRI I was put on Bisoprolol, statins and ramipril after this. Dosage reduced

Back after 5 years? Update!!
Miracles can happen (if you make them) Some weeks ago I posted this below. I have now completed, W7 R2 and twice exceeded the 'run' up to 30 mins. Don't get me wrong, it is very uncomfortable, but if you are determined enough, and ok in the knowledge that going slow will get me there, I will complete
