now it’s one month after my stent’s procedure. Still I get missing heart beat off and on. My ecg and 24 hours holter was normal. It’s really irritating. Has anyone gone through this 🌹

I’ve not had an angioplasty, but I do get an abnormal heart rate occasionally. As my holter came back okay like yours, it was deemed that my abnormal heart beats were not considered high enough to be treated with medication. Sometimes these beats are harmless and can come and go without putting you at any immediate risk. A lot of people have them, some are aware, whilst others are not. For the most part however, they don’t seem to concern doctors unless you’re having a huge number of them. I know that’s not particularly helpful, as when they come on, you can feel them however, it maybe a good idea just to keep an eye on them for the time being, and maybe get a device if you haven’t already to help measure your heart rate such as an oximeter or watch.

I hope others can offer their insights into an angioplasty and any related abnormal heart beats they may have experienced after.

All the best.

Hi. I too bad stents fitted 8 weeks ago and, as you, I experienced palpitations but as time passes the frequency of the episodes got further apart. I now get them every 10 -14 days where I initially got them every day. Hope this helps😁

I used to get the occasional ‘missing’ heartbeat in the past for many years and was aware of them but not worried. Since my heart ops (2 stents and, 3 weeks later OHS) I’ve not noticed any.

Hi, hope you are feeling well and recovering. From experience, I can say that it is perfectly normal to feel abnormal. It is a natural process of healing as we all go through self doubt whether things are fine. Believe your self and your doctor that your stents are working perfectly and no further harm will befall you.

Hoping things get better soon.

I had 2 stents 6 years ago and occasionally get an odd heartbeat but it goes away and doesn't bother me. If it persisted I would seek help.
