Post angioplasty side effects

Just had third heart attack which required another stent and during that significant disease was noticed in lad so had 2 stents in there a few days later , previous episodes in 2013 and 2020 resulted in no side effects at all after the procedure,however this time I find myself having palpitations from time to time so chest discomfort and an almost permanent anxious feeling, does this sound par for the course

I'm not sure if it is normal per se but I can associate with it. It could be low magnesium levels as they can be depleted by a heart attack along with the medications. If you are also getting muscle twitches or eye twitches that can also be a sign.

I can relate to this. I had a heart attack and stent in 2019 and last August after angina symptoms had 4 stents inserted. I think that sometimes it takes longer for stents to bed in, particularly as you had 2 procedures in quick succession.

Equally it may be that as it the third time it has created more anxiety for you. I think this is a normal response to your situation and your body undergoing stress. If it continues it may be worth talking to your GP and if all is good physically, it may be worth having some counselling but it may settle down with some time.

Take it easy and give yourself some time. Hope you feel better soon.
