Birth control
How long have you been taking this brand of birth control?
A few years
It could be worth a visit to your doctor to rule out pregnancy, but there are other factors that play into whether you menstruate or not (stress, diet, exercise), so it's worth considering what other things are going in in your life. Did you take up a new year's resolution to lose weight, for example?
Hello.
I've just checked and you are supposed to wait 7 days from your missed period before you take a test. Apparently a pregnancy won't show up before that.
Yes, as a young woman, exactly that situation. My period was usually a bit irregular and was late - can't remember the details now, but I wasn't pregnant. (Yey!) I remember not trusting the tests from the chemists and going to a family planning unit to get another (free in the UK). Also, it might be worth reading the leaflet that comes with your birth control. I seem to remember you have to be careful if you've had diahorrea as that can make the pill less effective.
Hopefully things will sort themselves out in the next few days.
Take care
