Low Oestradiol 4 months after stopping birth control?

I recently had my Oestradiol, LH, FSH, testosterone, androgen and prolactin measured and everything was normal except for Oestradiol which was 35 (ref range 45-800 in follicular phase).

I stopped 'microgynon 30' 16 weeks before the test. Should I be worried about this? Is it normal for it to take so long for hormones to adjust?

Some more info: was on the pill for 5 years, always had painful heavy periods, I've been having periods since stopping and they've been every 2-5 weeks.

Any advice would be great.

Hi Ctb. Yes it can take some months fr hormones to settle again. If your periods have returned back to what is normal fr you, then hopefully the balance will follow on. If you are trying for a baby, then give yourself another 6 months, then get a referral to a fertility specialist. Good luck! Diane
