Advice after clear Laparoscopy
Hi All, Hope you don’t mind me asking so many questions in one post but here I go 🙏🏻 I had my first laparoscopy on the NHS last Thursday (exactly a week ago at the time of writing this) and it found no endometriosis at all, my dye test came back clear, normal uterus, normal ovaries so I’m baffled!

Combine pill
I'm on the Impant but also taking the pill due to me being on my periods for months on end. At the moment my discharge is normal one day and the next it's a brown clotted colour the next day. Not too sure as the pills I'm taking have all active ones and 7 inactive pills and I haven't been taking them

Can HRT reactivate endo?
I am 52 and had an early menopause in my late 30s, when I was put on HRT. I kept getting breakthrough bleeds so had to take the HRT that gives a monthly bleed. In my teens and 20s I had excrutiating period pain - regularly passing out, throwing up etc. This stopped when I went on the contraceptive

Is it possible to become more tolerant to progesterone
Hi, I’ve always struggled with my own progesterone and never managed to use hormone contraceptives. I’m trying to use progesterone for my endometriosis and am feeling awful still after 2 weeks. I can’t continue feeling like this for much longer as it’s beginning to feel dangerous. Does anyone know if

Why isn’t body identical progesterone (Utrogestan) used to treat endometriosis? Surely it could help & less side effects than synthetic.
I’ve been wondering about this for a while. With the theory being that oestrogen stimulates endometriosis and progesterone suppresses it, why have I only ever been put on synthetic forms of progesterone? I’ve been on the contraceptive pill, depot provera, Mirena coil and Prostap injections. All of them

Mini or Combined pill for endometriosis
Hi I'm looking for some advice...I'm currently having Decapeptyl injections for endometriosis and will be finished them soon. I will then be going back on the pill but I am not sure if I should go on the mini pill or combined. I have previously been on the combined pill but I was just wondering if anyone

Endo/Pcos and the Yasmin Pill
I've had confirmed endometriosis (via laparoscopy) for the last 3 years now but I've recently been diagnosed with PCOS as well (because endo just clearly wasn't stressful enough). Symptoms are increasing in severity as well as new symptoms appearing. I recently went to a private consultant who prescribed

Have I made the wrong decision?
I had a lap in 2016 which was negative for Endo. I was diagnosed with IBS. I have since suffered reoccurring large cysts and a great deal of pain. In May 2021 I was hospitalised and advised by two gynae DRs that they believed I did have Endo and that it was missed. I’ve been off work since, can’t drive

It wasn't a ruptured cyst, it was a miscarriage, without knowing I was pregnant.
Apologies for the rant, I think this forum is the only place that people will be able to understand how I feel right now, because even I don't understand. Over the weekend after thinking what I had was a ruptured cyst and being told at urgent care that I didn't need to attend A&E, my condition worsened

Return of Regular Cycles after Contraceptive Injection
Hi, I'm currently on month 17 post my last contraceptive injection and I'm just seeing if anyone else has had a similar experience to me. I still have yet to have a normal period and am suffering with heavy spotting and light bleeding every 2 weeks currently. I track my BBT, I've had bloods and swabs

Post op 3m follow up and hysterectomy query
Hi all I have my 3 month post diagnostic laparoscopy/excision follow up appointment with my surgeon on Friday. The pain has definitely improved, more so that it isn't all the time anymore. I do still experience pain around my period but it isn't prolonged after I've stopped bleeding. I have said from

Family History of Hypothyroidism
Hello All, I'm new to the forum but it looked like a good place to seek some sensible advice! The story is that my Sister, Dad and Dad's two Sisters all have Hypothyroidism and are treated with Levothyroxine. After my Sister was diagnosed my GP suggested I have an annual blood test to monitor my thyroid

Pain Team Referral
Hi Everyone, When I saw my consultant back in May, she suggested for me to go on to the pill to control pain and symptoms alongside the Mirena coil. However, after discussions with my partner it was decided that maybe the pill was not a good idea, due to my already mood swings and previous worsening

Long term pain management
Hi folks, I posted recently after my laparoscopy and everyone was so lovely and supportive! I just wanted to post again to ask for some solutions to long-term pain management. It's been 2 weeks since my lap so I think I'm out of post-op pain, but the pain I had prior has come back with a vengeance!

Due a appointment with gynaecologist on the 9th yet to be diagnosed
But I’m just curious what it’s everyone main pain? Especially when on the pill? Just because at the minute I wake up with excruciating back pain mainly all right sided and it feels as if my organs are attached to something and it feels like pulling stabbing maybe in my bowel. The pain is so bad! 😣 if

Is a cyst burst an emergency?
Hi all, this is maybe a bit TMI but I just don’t know who to ask for help, google is useless!! a few weeks ago I had an ultrasound which revealed that I had a “normal” looking cyst on my left ovary but “wasn’t cause for concern” despite me saying I could feel stabbing on my left side most days. Then

12 day cycle
Came off the combined pill a few months ago to try to conceive. Completly aware that the pill was helping to keep periods regular, however my period ended a week ago today and today it's back. Could it just be my body getting back to 'normal ' and this is expected? Or unnormal? Guess I'm just worrying

Maid of honour dilemma!
Hi ladies, I know what the answer to this is but I just thought I would ask what some else thinks. I am planning on coming off the pill in September to start trying for a baby (gyno says I need another op but she wants me to try anyway before). It’s my friends wedding next July and she’s just made

Ovary fused to uterus
Hello, I had fibroids removed 2 years ago and I was still experiencing pain. Today I was advised that my ovary had in fact fused to my uterus due to scar tissue. Has anyone had anything similar? I have been advised to go on the pill for 4 months to see if it changes anything and if not to have them
