My 14 years old daughter was having very severe pain during periods, migraines, feeling sick and nearly passing out. She was given the pill but it gave her a terrible long migraine so was put on cerazette. She then bled every day on this pill but had no pain. They doubled the dose and now she is bleeding less but still bleeding each day…. She has been bleeding now since February and I’m worried… they said carry on two pills until September. Has anyone had bleeding on carazette and what else did you do? Thank you

Cerazette help
Hi, my daughter (16) has suspected endo and tried a couple of pills which gave her awful headaches etc. She's been on cerazette since Feb and spotted/bled every day for 6 months straight, but her pain was so significantly reduced that she was willing to put up with it and agreed that if it continued she would double the dose - however, literally approx 10 days ago, the chemist was late in dispensing her new prescription so she missed her pill for a couple of days and had a full blown period for the first time in months. She chose to leave it a week and began her pill again 2 days ago with NO spotting/bleeding so far 🤞 It might sound daft but we think maybe her body just needed to clear itself so to speak 🤷♀️ If it begins again she will discuss changing her pill or doubling the dose (although i am conscious of mood changes etc). Maybe your daughter just needs a break from it for a week or so?Sorry this probably doesn't help, I just wanted to share our similar story/concerns and say you're not alone. Hugs x
Hello. I have this pill. My doc advised me that I can take back to back but would need to every so often have a pill break to clear everything out, so to speak. She said spotting is your bodies way of saying it needs to have a period. I said I didn’t want to do that as having a break before gave me so much pain so she said doing a 3 days break should be enough to allow my body to have a period but isn’t too long that side effects kick in. Hope that helps x
