'Rough' appearance of endometrium in Hysteroscopy
I had a hysteroscopy last week. When the image appeared on the screen the nurse asked me if I took the pill (which I don't) and after told me that the cavity of uterus looked fine but that my endometrium had a rough appearance. When I got back home I checked for hysteroscopy images and saw that my hysteroscopy

Pain, hormones and losing the will
Hi, It's my first time posting here and I'm wondering if anyone shares my experiences and how they found resolution. I believe I had endometriosis (and Adenomyosis) , however I was diagnosed outside of the UK and not by laparoscopy - so I understand it is not an official diagnosis. I have a lot of

Switching from combined to mini pill with PCOS and Endo
Hi everyone - brief history, I was diagnosed with PCOS as a teenager (around 2000) and have been on Yasmin combined pill for around 15 years. I was finally diagnosed with endo (stage 3/4, RV and other areas) in around 2016. I've had multiple laps to treat the Endo, last one in Feb this year. At my consultant

Endo after a baby
I was diagnosed with endo in September 2017 after a laparoscopy to confirm and remove it. I luckily fell pregnant late last year and welcomed my baby girl on 1st August. I let myself have one natural period after birth before going back onto the pill. However for the last couple of weeks my endo pain

Infertility and Endo
Hi all, I have lurked here for some time and worked up to posting. I'm a bit lost with it all. For years I have known something was wrong but having been on the pill for over a decade thought maybe I had indeed 'grown out of it'. However, first cycle post pill and every symptom came back with a vengeance

How do we avoid adverse interactions between Thyroid med/s and HRT? And what’s your experience of taking these concurrently?
Hi All, Thanks to you lovely lot, I have been successfully taking T4 Levothyroxine 125mcg x1 with self-prescribed T3 25mcg x twice daily. I feel I’ve hit the right spot with my thyroid regime. I take Almus brand 100mcg, with Wockhardt 25mcg T4 Levo. I take the Tiromel brand for my T3. I’m coeliac,

Bleeding on Desogestrel. Had enough now!
So I've been on Desogestrel since May to control/stop my erratic and heavy bleeding. It's done an okay job, I've had small bleeds here & there which I've put down to the fact I'm a nightmare for taking it at the same time every day. And I have missed a few days here and there. However, this morning

Experience with small endometriomas causing huge pain & egg harvesting
Hi all, This is my first post and I'm hoping for a little advice. I was diagnosed with endo last November after an emergency laparotomy to remove a 17cm endometrioma, along with my right ovary and tube. I had no symptoms before the day I went to A&E and everything was great after the surgery, I was told

DepoProvera for Lupron SEs--many questions
On my MO's recommendation, I've started DepoProvera [DP] injections to combat serious sleep deprivation and other side-effects of Lupron/Zytiga. So far, I've had 3 shots, roughly a month apart. It really helps! But I'm concerned about using this drug, and my MO is basically ignoring my questions about

Private Lap today- Best thing I ever did
Hi all I just wanted to give an insight into my laparoscopy today which I self funded privately ( not many of us have this option) but I was fortunate to be able too. I had small amount of savings. Today I found out my troubles are not in my head, or exaggerated they we’re far worse than even they

I've been on the pill for about three years now (2 years mini pill and for the last year combined pill) I found out recently that my mum had a blood clot during the birth of one of my siblings. Hey! So I’ve been taking my pills regularly, there were a couple of times when I was out and didn’t have a source of water around me so I just swallowed the pill dry. I know this can harm the throat but would it make the pill less effective or something?
