What sort of specialist should I see for PCOS?
I was diagnosed with PCOS in December last year. My diagnosis was through private medical insurance but I was told my insurance only covers diagnosis and not further treatment. I have acne and amenorrhea (no period for 8 months). I just want to get period back naturally without going on the pill. Should

Management treatment for post endometriosis surgery
Hi all, I had endometriosis surgery last week and was discharged with the pill. However, I am not too keen on taking these due to the long term risks. Therefore, I am booked in to have the mirena coil inserted later this week however, again I am unsure about how I feel about this. Has anyone been in

Implantation Bleeding?
The most likely time of conception was one week ago today. Yesterday I began bleeding (dark brown discharge) but I am not supposed to start my period for another 9-10 days. I am on the pill but I haven’t missed any days. I am also having very mild cramps but those are my only symptoms. Does this sound

Periods
Sorry probably a really random question. I am away to come of my pill shortly to start the protocol for my biopsy. Usually I would start meds on the heaviest day of my period but the pill seems to make them quite light so it’s hard to tell. Does anyone get the same? Do you just start on the 2nd day?

Blood clot
Hello, I have started taking the combined pill this past and am now on a break and started my period today. A blood clot was on the pad about 10 cm long? Is this normal or do I need to panic?

Can Mirena work if desogestrel doesn’t?
Hi, I’m new to this group and hoping for any advice please. I’ve been diagnosed with Adenomyosis (by ultrasound) but not Endometriosis as they say I won’t have a diagnosis without laparoscopy. I’ve been on Desogestrel for over two years which has definitely helped with the pain but the bleeding is still

Pregabalin (Lyrica): findings of safety study on risks during pregnancy
Particularly in the light of diogenes post the other day about Sodium valproate, this MHRA warning needs to be read and spread. The emphasis on the risk being only slight seems unsatisfactory. If you are the mother, or child, affected, what does it matter that you drew the short straw? [i]

T3 only - how high do you keep your FT3?
I recently started on the progesterone only pill to try to even out monthly dips in my symptoms. It’s definitely helped. My most recents posts on here were because about 3 weeks after starting the pill, my FT3 went sky high and I felt awful. Whilst I was aware the increased progesterone might push up

How long does it normaly take Dofetilide to work?
I have been taking dofetilide for just over 1 month. I don't have AF but thousands of PAC's, ectopics and atrial tachycardia every day. These palpitations keep me awake for hours every night. So far I have seen no relief from palpitations. I see the doctor next week and I want to get off the pills because

Cerazette weight and high BP issues.
I'm currently taking the pill cerazette and have been for about 7 years. I'm over weight and have high blood pressure but anything I do to try lose weight seems to prove impossible. I walk at least 5 miles a day along with other exercise and eat super healthy. I was doing so well and had a kick in the

My first doctors appointment was in 2006
Hi all, I have been seeing the doctor since I was 13 years old with extremely painful and heavy periods, to be told they’re just period pains. I’ve been with irregular bleeding, painful urination, the lost goes on. As I have got older, especially in the last three years I have been in so much pain

So tomorrow we start on the buserelin injections again, joy of joys😂🤣😂 really don't like the side effects of buserelin, it's the devil😅 This evening had another melt down, microgynon seems to make me a tad loopy! Anyone else had this on microgynon? Literally no idea how anyone could choose to use
