The pill and endometriosis
Has anyone come off the pill and symptoms stayed the same? I was put on the pill (without being asked) after a hospital admission in april. I have been near enough in the same amount of pain since and im wondering if its a bad idea to come off the pill? No one really tells you what it does to your body

Endo/ibs/perimeno/which one!?
Hi all. Very new here. I guess I’m just looking to see if anyone has any similar issues, a bit of reassurance and advise me on what the heck I’m meant to be doing! Went on the contraceptive pill at 17 as I got the most horrendous pain that would make me pass out nausea etc and they were very heavy.

No endo found in laproscopy
Hello everyone! Just wanted to see if anyone is having/had similar experiences to myself. I’ve had horrible periods since being 12, unable to go to school/work due to the pain and heaviness. I was on the pill for 12 years with no breaks for periods. I came off 2 years ago and my periods are still

Looking for advice
Hi everyone, sorry this is so long but really need some advice...I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism around 13-14 years ago in my early 20s (now 35). I have been on 50mcg per day of levothyroxine since then. I have annual blood tests after which I'm always told that there's been no change and to continue

I started my periods when I was 13 years old. I have suffered with painful periods for as long as I remember. I started to realise there was a problem when I was in pain throughout the whole of my cycle not just when I was on my period. This would cause me to cry and be in a lot of pain, but also bleed

Gynaecology Appointment
Hello,I'm 19 and at uni in Scotland. I have waited a year and a half for my gynaecology referral and have just received my appointment in 2 weeks time. I'm feeling a bit nervous for this appointment and unsure what it will entail. It feels like there's a lot of pressure as I have been waiting so long

Advice after laparoscopy
After my laparoscopy on Wednesday which showed no signs of endometriosis I have decided to book an appointment with a specialist. I want to get a second opinion on what might be causing my symptoms. I just wanted to ask if anyone has had a similar experience where they’ve been told nothing has been

Venlafaxine itchy skin
Good morning. I have a wee question about venlafaxine. Has anyone experienced very sensitive itchy skin while taking it?? I'm super sensitive to meds so when I was prescribed venlafaxine 37.5mg I cut the pill into 4 and started on 1 quarter of pill. I got a few side effects... not sleeping great, feeling

GP advised to take combine pill and 2x progesterone pills every for 2 weeks ?!
I have been break through bleeding whilst on the combined pill. The pill has helped my periods massively since I had my laparoscopy last year but now I've started breakthrough bleeding through 2 cycles. I went to GP about this and they suggest I take 2x desogestrol as well as my normal pill (levest

Dienogest Advice
Hi! I got diagnosed with endo in May, about a month later started on Dienogest and despite my concerns (having not got on well with the combined pill in the past) I was told by my gynea that I did not come with many side effects. So I decided to give it a go. I’m nearly at the end of 3 months of taking

Hi I am very concerned about my 18 year old grand daughter, last May she had an implant put in her arm to prevent her getting pregnant, however since this was at the insistance of her mother who is very self absorbed and lacks in emotional skills ( has never told any of the grandchildren they are loved

Ongoing Care
Hi all, Hope you’re all having a pain free day! I received good news today, three weeks post lap, biopsies confirmed endo and nothing sinister. Isn’t it strange considering the diagnosis good news - it is though after years of ‘there’s nothing wrong’. I’ve now been discharged back to the care of

Possible Hysterectomy at 42 as feel everything else hadn’t worked
My first time posting and really sorry for the long post. I have been struggling for the last 13 years, I’ve lost all of my thirties to pain and discomfort. My first laparoscopy and helium beam treatment back in 2011 they detected peritoneal pocketing found in the left uteri- sacral ligament and left

completely numb and don’t know what to do - heartbeat stopped
I can’t believe I’m writing this, I thought I’d be telling my family good news today instead. I went for a scan at 7+4 and the baby had no heartbeat and stopped growing at 7 weeks. I have only 2 really low grade embryos frozen and would like to transfer as soon as I can. I’m not expecting them to work
