Unilateral salpingo-oophorectomy anxiety?
I have surgery next week and I’m terrified. They say they can ‘probably’ do it laparoscopically, but this really isn’t reassuring. The thought of the scars, people going inside me, being so vulnerable to others, the pain, the hospital itself, having people feel sorry for me, it’s all making me sick and

Is Isosorbate Mononitrate 60mg necessary?
What I've got is very mild angina symptoms brought on by emotional stress. I'm 63, male. It's like a slight stitch, almost trivial. They've doubled my atorvastatin to 80mg pd. And "added in" Isosorbide Mononitrate 60mg pd to "alleviate symptoms". I'm happy with the statin, but the nitrate tablets seem

Is Isosorbide Monosorbate necessary?
It's all come as a horrible shock. Last week received cc'd letter from Cardiology to my GP saying I'd got Triple Vessel Disease with severe coronary calcification, lots of scary medical jargon, urgent increase in medication and an appointment with the intervention team in two weeks. No sugaring the pill

*potentially emotional topic* has anyone with severely bad endo pain regardless of stage have any positive fertility stories.
Hi everyone, I am 25 and not currently trying to conceive I am on implant and combined pill because my pain is so severe. I would need an operation beforehand to reduce pain before even thinking of starting. I am currently looking for work to start saving. I have been with my partner for 10 years

What causes subclinical hypothyroidism?
My brief history: Diagnosed subclincal last year and have felt persistently awful on all doses of levo (25-75mcg) and 75 pushed my t4 slightly too high. The side effects of it have been debilitating and in many ways I feel worse taking it. 25mcg puts my t4 at around 18 which seemed high for a tiny dose

Hi There, I have recently been diagnosed with PV, I am JAk2 V617F positive 61% and my blood cells are all within normal levels, even my hematocrit. 3 years ago I suffered with portal and splenic vein thrombosis and have been on appixaban ever since. A few months before the thrombosis appeared blood

Advice please
Hi everyone, I’m fairly new to this group and was worried about posting but I’m feeling so lost. I am waiting on a diagnostic laparoscopy for potential endo. Pelvic pain started around a year and a half ago. I have had an internal ultrasound which only showed a small intramural fibroid but I was told

potential OC?
Hello. I just wanted to see if anyone had any advice or has experienced anything similar. In October I had surgery to remove 2 large cysts in both of my ovaries and endometriosis/ adhesions in my pelvis. The dr then wanted to put me on the contraceptive pill to stop the pain I was getting with my period

Light periods and FET success?
Morning all, hope your Mondays are treating you well. Has anyone suffered with light periods (1-2 day max) yet seen success with fresh or frozen transfers? I’ve started on meds for my first frozen transfer (after a failed fresh transfer in Nov). My periods have always been light after coming off the

Help with current BP problems
I have had above average BP readings since in my 20s when on the pill. I have always been overweight for my height , and have now been told I have CKD3 . I have been given potassium pills for the BP which have little effect only to raise my pain problems. This does not make sense to me as foods with
