Renal Dialysis Side Affects
I started out on peritoneal dialysis which I could do myself at home every night. Never felt bad and I was able to travel. After my automobile accident I had to switch to renal dialysis. This is my third year dealing with this dialysis. It makes me feel dragged out every time. Sometime I am unable to

Remicade; anyone on it?
Is anyone on this site with CKD have to use remicade for another condition? If so, how does it affect your CKD? Do you get an infusion? Can you use it if you are on dialysis? Please let me know.

Follow that kidney diet
I found out last August for the first time that my kidneys were damaged from years of using ibuprofen for chronic pain from a car accident. My gfr was 40 to 45. My creatinine, protein, and potassium were all high. I was seriously upset. So, I found this online group, fed myself a strict kidney diet,

Need to do more than control Creatinine levels?
As I understand it, high levels of creatinine indicates poor kidney function, therefore if I can lower my creatinine level by some other action or change of diet etc, the poor kidney function would still be present and would continue to decline and eventually dialysis would be needed? Am i correct? So

Light weight oxygen cylinders
Hi everyone,I’m new to your community. I’ve been living with lung disease for many years and a year ago my lung and heart finally decided to give up the ghost. But fortunately my wonderful local hospital managed to bring me back, and I’ve been enjoying my life with my family. I use 1/2 a litre of oxygen

Update- My Imbruvica plus Venetoclax Captivate trial.
Hello, I am very pleased to report I am still MRD undetectable in the blood and bone Marrow after almost 1 year!! My Doctor prefers to say MRD- undetectable instead of MRD Negative. I am most likely on a placebo. Per the trial I am on either a placebo or imbruvica. I am Very very sure a placebo

Dad in ICU fighting pneumonia and is slow to wake up from induced coma
Hi everyone. I’m wondering if anyone has any encouragement for our situation. My dad is 78 but has always been extremely healthy - a marathon runner until his back stopped him from running and now he’s been an avid swimmer for years and has had no real medical issues. He had a stem cell transplant

Life is a living hell, crippling fatigue and brain fog
23, Male, Caucasian, 5'10, 165 lbs Hello all, I'm sure many of you can relate to my story so here goes. My health has felt like it’s been in the crapper for way too long. When I was 12-13 I was diagnosed with mild GERD (acid reflux). It affected my sleep a little bit from what I remember

New to Haemo dialysis
I started haemo dialysis last week so done 6 sessions now and already seen a big decline on my output. It use to be 450mls. My input is 600mls and output is only 100 to 150mls, i still feel the urge to pee but nothing happens. I'm still taking my diuretic of 240mg of fruseomide, which use to be twice
