Transplant Insurance Coverage
Does anyone have a suggestion about who to consult regarding what will be paid by my Humana Advantage Medicare policy for a kidney transplant? I asked my Transplant Center Coordinator and she (curtly) replied that I had to research that information. BTW: For those just recently put on dialysis or anticipating

PD Catheter
Hi, EGFR now dropped to 11, and PD catheter being fitted next week, followed by a Fistula soon after. Any advice on coping with Peritoneal Dialysis would be appreciated. Interested in whether I may feel 'healthier', or whether there is no real change.

New to low GFR
I took Advil for years with chronic pain from a traumatic auto accident. After surgeries, my specialists even told me I could take 800mg at a time after 48 hours had passed. Finally, a somewhat unscrupulous neurologist told me to stop taking any NSAID. However, he didn't refer me to a nephrologist nor

2 Days After Cryoablation
I’m feeling well after cryoablation — yippee! Had just a 4-second blip of Afib in the hospital and none since. It’s strange waiting to see if it’s really gone, having been such a major focus for me prior to the ablation. Thanks so much to everyone for their support beforehand. It really helped ease my

Question to you all? How long does your port need to heal after it’s placed before your first dialysis?

Your enthusiasm on dialysis
Marcelo: You are a shining example of how a dialysis patient lives live with enthusiasm and gusto. I have FSGS for the past 7 years and I thank God for dialysis every day. Keep up the good work. Regards, Frank

Cutting days down for elderly grandparent
My grandmother is 83yo. She has been on dialysis for around 3 years now. Throughout the 3 years she has been attending 3x a week (Tue, Thurs, Sat). She mentioned a couple of weeks ago that they where going to change it to two days a week. This came into effect last week. What I would like to know is
