Can IVF cause endometriosis?
Hope everyone is keeping well! In my last frozen IVF transfer (my second transfer in total), the consultant found an endometrioma cyst on one of my ovaries. When one of these is found, you’re automatically classified as having stage 3/4 endometriosis. But what I’m trying to acertain, is whether I perhaps

Estrogen patches advice please!
Hi All, I’m about to start a FET cycle - my last one in June 2023 sadly ended in a BFN! Since then I’ve spoken to 2 different consultants - one suggested ading estrogen patches to my protocol, and the other is happy to go along with that plan. My lining was 7.6mm at my first scan last June. I haven’t

Differences between oral, vaginal, patches and injectable estrogen?
Hello everyone, does anyone know if there are differences between oral, vaginal, patches and injectable estrogen for boosting the lining? I have had spotting while on progynova and patches, and while my doctor assures me that is normal, it still unnerves me so I would like to try another form of estrogen

Feelings post egg retrieval
I had my first egg retrieval on Monday. All went well and we got 20 eggs, 12 of which have fertilised, so I'm really pleased with that. I was initially quite bloated and crampy for a couple of days, but that's subsided, however I'm having some other symptoms that I can't quite pin down a cause for. Since

DHEA & COQ10
Do you stop taking it when you are on meds for FET or after the transfer? I'm due to have a FET in a few periods time. However I want to start DHEA to prep my eggs if I need another cycle. Will I need to stop it when I start the Oestrogen patches or just when I have the transfer? My consultant said

Managing OHSS risk
I'm on my first IVF cycle and due for egg collection on Monday. We always knew I was high risk for OHSS as I have PCOS, and had an AMH of 205 initially, (which has reduced to 45 on Metformin), so were always planning to freeze the eggs from this cycle. My estrogen at day 5 of stims was around 3500 and

FET query
Hello all,Can anyone explain to me the process of a FET in this scenario? Or any time lines/experiences of it. The consultant said I would have an injection on day 20 to switch my ovaries off, but then no more medication other than a scan/bloods on day 10ish to check transfer date. He said I may need

Thyroid question please...
Hi everyone, I am writing to ask if you can have a sore thyroid without significant enlargement and with 'normal' bloods? I have had 'normal' bloods, it doesn't seem visually enlarged, though I feel like I am being strangled and have audible sounds when I swallow in my ears. When I move my head something

Disappointing response to stims 🙁
Hello everyone, I hope everyone’s journeys are going well. A bit of background about me … I follow a non standard protocol for FET where I inject gonal f alternate days to stimulate one or two follicle growth so the natural oestrogen encourages my lining to thicken. This normally takes 5 doses.

Any tips for Natural Modified FET (boost lining)?
Hi everyone, I have a persistent thinnish lining (around 6 to 7mm) after an episode of abnormal bleeding between periods (turned out to be silent endo and a polyp that did not show up on ultrasound). Before that, 11mm was my average. After failing a recent FET, my doctor decided to monitor my lining

Recent HF diagnosis
Hi, I was diagnosed with heart failure a couple of months ago when I woke up one morning struggling for breath with fluid in my lungs, having had virtually no previous symptoms. Looking back, maybe I was a bit short of breath over the last few months but did a sprint-distance triathlon 6 months ago so

Constantly bleeding / zoladex
I'm coming to to my 3rd shot of zoladex next week but for the last 5 weeks I've had 3 periods and all have been a week long. I had 5 days respite between 2 and my current period. I'm currently on day 7 and is not letting up, so don't know how much longer this 3rd will go on for. They aren't light,

your thoughts welcome
Here's my update since last posts and would love your thoughts.... Had TV ultrasound again nearly a month ago now with another gynae. She said that my cyst on left ovary is a complex cyst and she does not think it cancer at moment. She said it is 4/5 risk of becoming cancer in time. Advice remove left
