NHS Endocrinologist Referral. Help please I am scared!

GP insisting on referring me to endo despite no clinical signs (I am new to the practice and the area) Who would you ask to see these days ? I know you will need to PM me...

I saw [redacted by admin] at the Royal Berkshire 10 years ago (I travelled from Yorkshire) and have been on Armour since 2004 on the NHS (after a huge battle) but I suspect the days of that are numbered unless I can find an NHS Endo that will endorse it continuing. I am prepared to travel ANYWHERE in the uk. However I don't want to go to a private physician as the GP will take no notice of this and I myself and very happy with my condition, so I need to see an NHS Armour-friendly Endo for his benefit only.

It seems so unethical to be made unwell for no good reason. However as I haven't seen anyone for such a long time, I can understand why the new GP wants current support for my regime (he is terrified of the suppressed TSH but it's been much more suppressed in the past). Has anyone been taken off Armour after 20 years of success with it and survived ok? I'm really scared of it being taken off me as I don't have the funds to get it privately so my catastrophising mind is currently doing loop the loop about how my life might look after this referral.

I would be particularly grateful for advice with an Endo that is educated to deal with older and very oestrogen deprived patients as well since I am in that bracket. I have the Thyroid UK list but can't work out who to see without advice as it only seems to be private Endos that deal with Armour.
