Hey guys. They were able to do the procedures and the Dr said that everything went well. He handed the varicies so they're taken care of for another year hopefully. He removed three large polyps and sent them to pathology. They said everything went smoothly do that's a load off my mind. Next is MRI on

Procedure Today Hopefully
Good morning. I'm sitting in outpatient surgery waiting room. Jimmy's supposed to have colonoscopy and endoscopy this morning. He didn't do well with prep and not having his nausea and pain meds this morning so I'm hoping they are able to do it. He's been having some pain in his esophagus area so I worry

Flecainide interactions with midazolam
Looks like I’ll need to have a colonoscopy soon and I wondered if anyone has any experience of any interactions that the sedative midazolam has with flecainide. I’m on a maintenance dose of 50mg flec twice a day as well as one 1.25mg bisoprolol once a day. I’m also hoping that the preparation the day

Has anyone tried Nortriptyline?
After 23 years of IBS with the last 4 years being virtually daily I am at the end of my rope. I have tried absolutely everything recommended for this awful complaint and nothing has helped. I really need to do something as I live in constant fear I have something serious (despite a clear colonoscopy

Sorry to talk about poo...but!
Hi all. Sorry to be graphic but I guess if you have bowel issues this is normal to talk about. Besides my flare ups I have an annoying start to my day everyday, as far as going to the loo. Around an hour after waking I get the urge to go. This is usually quite difficult to pass and is usually quite

Is this normal, or can it be cancer?
I’m a male 29 years old, with a pinching pain in my stool since over a year already. I didn’t do a colonoscopy yet, as my doctor told me back in January that this might be hemorrhoids as I’m too young for colon cancer and should not worry about it, even though told him that there is also bit of blood

Hypothyroidism
My husband is 69 1/2 years old, always been healthy and is not on any medication other than the supplements I give him. Recent blood work in August 2021, showed a low B12 level of 300, he is now on supplements to help with this. The problem lies with his TSH levels. The chart ranges I have found

why do I still have blood?
Hi all, I had a colonoscopy earlier this year and everything came back clear. However, the last week I'm having problems where my bowel movements produce lots of mucus and the mucus has little bright red streaks in it. The whole mucus isn't coated in red, it's just streaks in some of the pieces but I'm

Thought I would share a funny story
Following a period of weight loss which sees me down to 42 kilo, my GP referred me to our local hospital 🏥. It was arranged for me to have an endoscopy and the literature all confirmed that the tube would be inserted down my throat so that they could have a little look round my stomach to see whether

Does IBS give you pain on the mid right side
I have had pains on my right side for 14 years. Sometimes better other times pretty bad that I constantly have hot water bottle on it. I had colonoscopy, blood tests, scans 4 years ago and nothing was found. Most of the IBS sufferers here say pain is on the left but I never have pain on the left side

2 years post Colonoscopy
New to this group. I have a strong family history of colon cancer. My dad’s youngest brother passed away at 50 from it. Many aunts and uncles and some cousins have to go regularly for colonoscopy/polyp removal. When I was 36 I was talking to a couple of my aunts about my stomach issues from “stress.”

what should I do next? mucus with blood
Hello all, I have ibsD.. symptoms worse in the mornings, I go multiple times a morning, always soft stool and a lot of it. Since Sunday, I think I've been in a flair. I've been a little worse off than usual. My stomach is loud, lots of intestinal noises, going to the bathroom as soon as I wake up.
