Only GGT elevated ?
My Ggt has come down to 100 from 179(had two glasses of red wine night before test, didnt know they were going to do my ggt level) all other blood work within range, except kidney function was a little off. endoscopic ultra sound showed no liver damage, three other ultrasounds, MRI, regular endoscopy

Colonoscopy over
Today I went for my colonoscopy. The staff were fantastic. The sedative did not really work for me. I soldiered on with the prep knowing I did not want to have to come back. I had 4 polyps removed thought to be benign but going to the lab for checking. Also some biopsy’s so have to wait for the

Concerned dad!
My 12 year old daughter is iron deficient, lost alot of weight, constant fatigue and has returned a calprotectin level of 5320! She is to have a colonoscopy in the coming weeks, feeling scared of the outcome and very stressed! Does anyone have a similar story?

Has anyone had testing for histamine intolerance or mast cell activation?
I know that as soon as we present certain symptoms and the regular tests like stool sample, upper GI scope, colonoscopy , stomach scan, etc. show nothing the diagnosis is IBS. Then what? Trial and error -seemingly mostly error. I have had IBS symptoms for years with no real help. Then I got Covid Nov

Has anyone tried Nortriptyline or Amitriptyline?
24 years with this condition and I am close to rock bottom. The last 5 or so years, since hitting my mid 40’s have been awful with virtually daily symptoms. The last two years have been so bad. In 2019 I had a colonoscopy, a gastroscope, several ultra sound scans and a ct scan. Nothing picked up, which

PMR back
Hi everyone it is with a saddened heart that it looks like my PMR has returned. Prednisolone didn't really suit me, gave me mental health issues (now have health anxiety) GI problems which could have been lansoprazole, so I tapered slowly and took the last dose early December. I have since had a CT

Colonoscopy and APC - Any issues?
My last colonoscopy was more than 10 years ago. My gastro doc wants me to get one now. My question is whether the procedure will cause any negative effects on my APC? I am 79 years old, diagnosed with APC in November 2018 with a Gleason of 5+4=9. My therapy is Prednisone + Zytiga + Orgovyx. My PSA

Daily rectal bleeding after bowel motion.
Hi, I guess I am looking for advice from people going through something similar. All the posts I have read about bleeding after bowel motions seem to be more on and off rather than daily and small amounts of blood. I am a 47 male and have been having blood on the toilet paper after every bowel motion

Confused ?
After suffering with all of the symptoms associated with Crohns for a long time I finally went to see my gp. My fit tests was positive with high markers so I was referred for a colonoscopy in January. They took biopsies and told me there and then it was Crohns and gave me an 8 week supply of oral steroids

Update on colonoscopy
Hi, just to say that at last heard from hospital, have a date now for colonoscopy. I just want to know what the diagnosis is. The worst is the anxiety caused waiting, Hope Haylingisland has a date too. Finding any problems early is the key. So nice to have the support from Tom.

Colonoscopy still waiting
I am really fed up. I was referred by my surgery because of a positive fit test. A two week pathway. Within a couple of days got a call from the hospital and answered their questions. Then a week later I had a CT scan. A phone call came re the colonoscopy . As I am on blood thinners she said I would

Questions about screening tests.
Hello ladies! I am getting conflicting recommendations between my oncologist and family doctor. My oncologist says I don’t really need a colonoscopy or mammogram and my family doctor says I do. What are you all hearing or doing? I wonder if my CT scans are better than a mammogram? So confusing and

Bowel obstruction after debulking surgery
I was all set to start chemo on Thursday after getting colonoscopy this morning. Unfortunately they found an obstruction. I had complete hysterectomy and debulking surgery 3.5 weeks ago. Getting a barium enema tomorrow to find out more where obstruction is. This is so discouraging as I just feel like

Stomach and right rib pain?
Hi everyone! I'm pretty new here. This is only my second post. My liver enzymes spiked about 4 years ago, AST 80 and ALT 120 for about 2 months and then went back to normal. Doctors thought due to stress and maybe the Voltaren I was on for hip inflammation. Since then, I have had all sorts of tests
