why do I still have blood?

Hi all, I had a colonoscopy earlier this year and everything came back clear. However, the last week I'm having problems where my bowel movements produce lots of mucus and the mucus has little bright red streaks in it. The whole mucus isn't coated in red, it's just streaks in some of the pieces but I'm wondering if it's possible my colonoscopy missed something? Thoughts?

I’d say try changing your diet. A colonoscopy is a pretty big deal in checking for anything deeper. I have the same if I eat certain things as well.

I would advise going back to your surgeon who performed the colonoscopy. It could be an infection and/or blood clot.

Sorry to hear you are experiencing these symptoms. I would call your doctor to explain and ask them for an appointment. Please keep us posted. Best wishes from the Global CCA team.

Were you constipated? Did you also get checked for any parasites or hemorrhoids?
