Stage 4 endo awaiting bowel surgery- horrendous sickness
Hospital stay and time off work and whether I am likely to need a
colostomy
? Sorry for all of the questions but I have a 12 month old to consider now so have to really prepare as best as I can. I will of course put all of these questions to my surgeon in two weeks time.

Bowel op
I am going back to see the consultant but I was told the only option was either decapeptyl or an operation however due to the scarring on my bowel there was a high chance I may end up with a
colostomy
bag. I wondered if anyone else has been through this experience as I don't know which way to turn.

Just Got My MSW!... Oh Yeah, and 2 Different Cancers
There is a chance I will come out with a
colostomy
and there is a chance it may be permanent although I've been told that is not as likely. It is likely I will come out catheterized potentially for a long time. After that I'm facing more chemo for the OC and then chemo for the CC.

Experiences with pregnancy and endometriosis
I've had three unsuccessful surgeries to try and separate this bit but have been told by bowel specialist that they can't do it without my bowel tearing and ending up needing a
colostomy
bag for the rest of my life.

Also it's likely I will need a
colostomy
temporarily as fibroids and damage has been extensive, so I'm actually quite frightened by the implications. I have read here that for some of you, after all that surgery, you are still getting pain. Your experiences would be gratefully received.

Back where I started!
Hi I was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis some 34 years ago. Had all the normal treatments and regular stays in hospital. Then 6 years ago had a emergency total colectomy. Left hospital with a ileostomy . At the time it was the best thing that happened as at last I had some control over my bowels. A

Help!
The doctor said that they only left me enough to keep from having to have a
colostomy
. I was told that I would have to take B 12 injections for the rest of my life, which I have done up until a couple years ago, due to the expense I could not afford to take the injections.

Update
She had a caecostomy as opposed to a
colostomy
or illeostomy. I can find very little information in caecostomies other than they are considered palliative.

CEA's normal
My CEA's are well within normal ranges; however, during a routine check up, a 2 cm place was found on my right upper lobe. Last year I underwent a total colectomy due to colon cancer. My oncologist has scheduled a PET scan, my question is.... is he being overly cautious? I have no symptoms. I really
