Hi yall I am 47 have had endometriosis for 19 yrs with a total hysterectomy 15 yrs ago. The hysterectomy did not end my endometriosis. Somehow my body still creates hormones and i suffer horribly with pain. My doctor does not want to do anymore surgeries as my endo has attached to my bowel causing it to be attached to my pelvic wall. Furthur surgeries could result in colostomy bag. He is trying me on zoladex. I am on my 2nd injection... i am 15 days away from my 3rd injection and i am relentlessly crying. Feel very depressed and do not feel like mhself. I did this halfway in after the 1st injection too? Does it tine release 2 weeks in? Does anyone know? Also it helps ny pain so much but this mood swings i dont know if i can tolerate. I already suffer with depression and anxiety and its so much worse is it the zoladex causing me to feel so much worse. Also having bad dizzy spells and out of body feeling sometimes does anyone know if this is from the med? Idk if id rather just deal with the horrendous pain.. i just feel weird, depressed, anxious and not myseld.

Hi Missymo. I'm so sorry to hear how you are suffering right now. It does sound like the zoladex. It's a powerful drug that affects our hormones so it sounds like it is exacerbating your anxiety. I'm normally a fairly calm and together person but I've had days where I do not recognise myself. It is scary when you experience these episodes.

I would suggest you contact your gp to tell them how it is affecting you. Perhaps they can give you a hrt drug to balance it out? It's not acceptable if it is taking away the pain but reducing your quality of life in another way. It helped me to talk to the specialist endo nurse who has extensive knowledge of the zoladex and it's side effects.

Hope you start to feel a bit better soon xx
