Bowel op

I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2008 where I ended up having an emergency op as it was in my bowel. It has happened again since where I had keyhole. After years of trying to get a solution I was put on decapeptyl and have even on this now for 3 years but the side affects have been so bad that I have currently had to take a break from work to cope. I am going back to see the consultant but I was told the only option was either decapeptyl or an operation however due to the scarring on my bowel there was a high chance I may end up with a colostomy bag. I wondered if anyone else has been through this experience as I don't know which way to turn.
