i have had a constant dull pain in the fingers of my right hand for roughly 1 year.i also have slight swelling only this is not on the joints but inbetween. i have been tested for carpal tunnel but its not that so im wondering if its connected to the copd in some way. also i,m left handed and that hand is fine. ;\

hand pain with copd
Whatever it is it needs investigating if its a problem x
Gyttgtmmmm, sorry to hear that..I have never heard of such a thing associated with COPD...have you asked your doc how he/she knows it is related to COPD ! Have you rung the BLF helpline to ask their thoughts on the matter?
My husband has had severe COPD for years and that is probably the only thing he hasnt complained of (as I touch wood!) - I personally think you need this investigating. Lots of love TAD xx
Hi
I have pain in my elbows on the bone and all my fingers go numb and I can't pick anything up. I have severe COPD and lung cancer therefore symptoms could be either one causing it. My hospice nurse says it is nerve ends causing the numbness therefore when I lean on my elbows use a soft cushion instead of leaning on oak table. This dies help tremendously. They also prescribed s drug called Gabapentin which controls nerve pain. Hope this helps x
I have RLD and PH but I do get a pain in all my fingertips and they dent for some time if touched. But my GP did not seem concerned at all?
I don't have pain, however I do have tingling and numbness in my fingertips in both hands. Along with numbness in my lips.. I am assuming anything can happen to the body when one has COPD.
Thanks for the information. I am taking the vitamins but have started doxycycline today for a sinus infection but have also noticed the hand pain is worse since starting the antibiotics for some reason???
