Richter Transformation treatments
I was diagnosed with Richter Transformation of CLL last April and was fearing the worst. I had several different chemotherapy types, each with two or three cycles, but a biopsy in October of one of the growths in my abdomen showed that the Richter transformation had gone. The CLL remains, however.

How Ibrutinib works over time
Hi, At ASH 2016 in San Diego, CA, I had the honor of once again interviewing Dr. Wiestner from the NIH (National Institute of Health) about the prototype BTK inhibitor, ibrutinib and how and why it works so well in CLL. We have known for a while that for its survival and well-being, our cancer is dependent

How to carry a filled insulin pen at high and low temperature in India
I am using both Lantus and Novorapid. Lantus at night only. Novorapid before breakfast, lunch and again at dinner. I take 20 units each time. Can we keep the pen and carry both types of insulin without using an ice pack in Delhi? The Summer temps. are 45 centigrade and the Winter temps. fluctuate

Tired of being tired
I have had the symptoms (tiredness, feeling the cold, weight gain/hard to loose weight, brain fog, poor concentration) for years - since I was about 15 (now 38) had various blood tests including thyroid but all within normal ranges. I have always been told it's chronic fatigue syndrome but I am not convinced

Update for followers
I note I have 11 followers and I'm surprised I have not provided an update for quite a while. I started Obinutuzumab and venetoclax in march 2016 with 75 percent CLL in my bone marrow aged 47. I had some early challenges but by August I had only 0.08 percent! Mrd positive. Next bone marrow biopsy

Some questions...
Hi, I was diagnosed with CLL a year ago and am on watch & wait. I'm wondering why the lymphocyte number actually decreases sometimes? Also, I have been sick a lot lately even though my numbers are better. Any tips on staying well? Thanks. :)

Last but best It could only happen Yorkshire
Saved what I think is the funniest till today. I have a disturbing feeling I won't be laughing at the end of the Wales England game. Fear England are too big and strong for our delicate Welshmen-but you never know. Anyway ----- A Yorkshireman with piles asks his local chemist, "Nah then lad, does tha

Natural does not mean safer. Red Yeast Rice, sold as Statin alternative, has similar risks!
...the common perception that natural is safer didn't pan out in the study of the Italian Surveillance System of Natural Health Products, similar to the findings of a prior French government analysis of adverse event reports it received on red yeast rice. : Red yeast rice supplements

Hello. I'm new here.
I found this site by chance. I read many posts. Very helpful. Thank you. I have been diagnosed with COPD about 2 years ago and can't really come to terms with it. I keep reading. Bit shy on posting.
