Stage 3c ovarian cancer Nov 2016
Hey everyone. Good to get on this forum & hear of other people going through the same experiences. I had debulking surgery Dec 2016. The cancer had spread further than the CT scan showed so they had to remove my sigmoid colon, consequently I ended up with a colostomy bag. Started chemo in Jan 2017 &

Crohn's disease and lung cancer
4 weeks after my right upper lobectomy in late August, I was diagnosed with a blood clot in my right lobe main artery. I was prescribed Xarelto and told that it would dissolve in 4-6 weeks. 8 weeks later I had another CT and was diagnosed with another clot in my vein. I went for a second opinion and

Day 3 following lap - diagnosis of endo and interstitial cystitis
Hi everyone, Sorry for the long post. I've had a bit of a rollercoaster ride since my first lap. I went in to anaphylactic shock after my surgery and have been quite poorly since. I've still got puffy sore eyes and a very sore scratchy throat but my rash has pretty much disappeared and I'm feeling much

Hello Everyone
Two months have passed since my beloved sister Dana passed away. I am slowly coming to terms with her loss but often find myself overwhelmed with the senselessness of it all and how quickly she succumbed to the disease. Dana was diagnosed in February 2017 at Stage 4and had followed the all too familiar

Just diagnosed
Hi, I am new here. I was diagnosed with a lung nodule in my upper left lung in December. It was found after LD-CAT. It was followed up by a PET scan which showed that it had not metastasized as far as they could tell. The PET was not definitive but they are pretty sure it is cancer because of the shape

Stage 4 endo awaiting bowel surgery- horrendous sickness
Hey everyone, I posted 4 years ago about being recently diagnosed with grade 4 endo. I had two laparoscopic procedures and zoladex to treat a large endometrioma and endo that was pretty much everywhere. 4 years on I have a 1 year old baby that I was told I would likely never have! I am so so grateful

Heart attack then cardiac arrest after lobectomy
My husband is almost 78 and has had 3 MIs, the last one in 2008 when he had 2 stents fitted. I'm also a member of the lung cancer forum because, as well as having COPD, he was diagnosed with lung cancer in September after a CT scan for digestive issues because he has lost over 2 stone in a year. 5 mm Nodule "not visualized" in my last scan

How can I get him to eat post lobectomy?
My husband had a lobectomy last Wednesday by keyhole surgery. He is now cancer free so, very lucky, however, he is 77 and had lost around 2 stone in weight prior to the surgery due to nausea. He'd been prescribed meds that worked for his nausea a short time before his admission and I had been serving

Mace- Ace? Anyone had this?
If you are squeemish don't read on? I've been recommended for an Ace or Mace ( both names used) procedure because my bowel doesn't work. It's where they take your appendix and attach it to your belly wall- making an opening,so that enemas can be flushed down from the top of your bowel, rather than, ERM
