I see several people are having problems with MRI’sπŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ I go to the same place each time for mine. They know my history, lobectomy, ankle surgery, drop foot brace, LaFort fracture, Cancer, two herniated disks, bludged disk, four bone spurs. So every 15 to 20 minutes they stop pull me out let me stretch and regroup and then continue on. It takes an extra 15 minutes but they just schedule it that way......want the business πŸ‘ Try it out works for me πŸ˜‰πŸ™β€οΈKen

Ya know I get up and get going almost every day and at least read and putter around. I am able to drive and go grocery shopping and chasing within reason. I get tired 😴 so I watch out. I feel pretty fortunate that I can do what I can after 22 years of MSπŸ˜‰πŸ™πŸŽ„πŸŽβ›„οΈKen

When I lived in South Florida it was easy to go to the same place each time, but here in Northern Arizona services are very limited. I honestly didn't know that there is a great difference between MRI equipment as well; my neuro is in Phoenix and he sends people to an imaging center there, and they apparently do 3-D. But that's a 2-hour ride, so I try to schedule it at the same time as my appt. when I know that I'm going to need one. I tried a place closer to home and the report mentioned nothing about MS lesions on my T-spine, even though I know from my neuro in Florida that I have more on that part of my spine than in my brain! There are so many, in fact, that the neuro sent me for a blood test for NMO, and this guy didn't find any, or if he did he didn't report it. So I guess from now on I'm going to the place in Phoenix. What a drag.

Kenu I didn't know there was a difference in MRI scans until I started with an MS doc affiliated with a teaching university. It has to so with the stronger Magnets for the magnetic fields. I wonder if that is the 3D effect, would love to see my 3d scans.

I’ve been to the same hospital for all my MRIS since my dx. It’s one of the best hospitals in Ga. Had some trouble with one of the techs during my second failed attempt on initial full body scan. Next time they sedated me like I recommended from the start. Since then the staff has been above and beyond great.

I have no problem with the MRI folks just the the drs that think I’ll do what they order even when I’m the one lying in the tube. I’m they easiest person in the world to get along with but not when I’m gonna suffer because they think I’ll just do something because they say so. Been there done that got a T-shirt. I won’t do it again.

Merry Christmas to all and God bless.

Right on I agree. Insurance pays for it, but we pay the deductible, premium, and out of pocket expense. We are the uncomfortable 😣 one. πŸ‘πŸŽ„β›„οΈπŸ™ Ken

Kenu . It takes 2 weeks to get scheduled so they sure don’t need the business. Haha.

Merry Christmas.

Kenu That is so wonderful that they go above and beyond to take your needs into consideration. My place is so busy, I don't think they have time. They are considerate and always offer me a break. After 3+ hrs getting MRI's of brain, cervical and thoracic areas, with and without contrast dye, they do offer me juice and cookies!
