Suspected Erythromelalgia - boiling red hands, began in early 2021. Urgent advice needed - feel very poorly
Hi I’m a 25 yo female from London, UK. I have hashimotos and hypothyroidism, both diagnosed and I am on treatment. I began to experience sudden hot and achy hands in early 2021 - characteristics were similar to that of erythromelalgia but GP reluctant to diagnose despite seeing photos - tested uric

The anxiety is real!
I keep coming back to add more... I think I must bore people with always talking about my health just now, but its so helpful to get things written out... My previous posts will show my background in more detail (and have had some very useful and kind replies, thank you!)... but briefly, a couple of

Edoxaban and gout
I have in the 3 months been put on edoxaban for afib and now I have gout, I am currently in flare up which has been going on for 7 weeks. I have had two courses of Colchicine and two courses of Prednisone, both have failed to clear the gout. I am in agony everyday. Tomorrow my GP is injecting my ankle

Gout w CKD3
I’m posting for my mom, she has CKD3 and I do as well. She’s had gout in her feet for about two years now. Last bout was so bad :-( She’s 75, in otherwise decent health. Two rounds of dex steroid paks, then some serious prednisone amounts (about 2 weeks, tapered down). Her dr wanted her to go up on Allopurinol

Recurring Myopericarditis
Feeling very much at a dead end. I used to be a triathlete, training for Ironmans & other extreme triathlons. Then in May 2021 I ended up in hospital with chest pains, breathlessness and severe fatigue. I showed raised levels of troponin. I was discharged after 5 days on a number of anti-inflammatory

Colchicine
Hi everyone! I’ve recently been put on daily colchicine after years of treating my behcets-symptoms with prednisone. Its only been about 4 days on colchicine and i still have my mouth ulcers. My question is just this; does anyone have any experience of a potential overdose/allergic reaction by colchicine

Nasal sores & ulcers
Hi there, I'm new to this forum. Currently in the midst of a significant flare, post COVID infection 3 weeks ago. I have very sore nasal sores/scabs, which also creates congestion. There is minimal data in the research about nasal involvement. I am taking azathioprine, colchicine and prednisolone at

CUTANEOUS VASCULITIS
Hi! I have these red spots on my legs every time I have long flights. Lately, it became horrendous since they appeared again when I wore tight jeans. I went to an internal medicine doctor who referred me to a Dermatologist and Rheumatologist. The Rheumatologist doctor did not pay attention to me as he

Pericarditis recovery (Post-Covid)
Hello, I was diagnosed with pericarditis around 6 weeks ago when severe chest pain led me to A&E. It was though to be secondary to Covid which I’d had a month before. I’m taking ibuprofen and colchicine. The pain is easing, but only very slowly. At first I couldn’t move much, eat, sleep or even speak

Bleeding gums , help.
Hello all, hope you are all doing good. I’ve had a lot of bleeding from my gums, not sure if it’s from colchicine, flecainide, bisoprolol or tablets to protect stomach. Does anyone suffer with this and any tips to stop bleeding or protect gums . Plus has anyone experienced weight loss with colchicine

Pericarditis after booster
Hi everyone, I was diagnosed with pericarditis after having the booster vaccine; I was wondering if anyone has experienced this and how your experience has been? I'm 6 weeks into treatment with Colchicine and am worried it will be a long road to recovery, so reassurance would be great! :)

Shivering 4 days post ablation
Well it’s day 4, don’t know if this is normal, I can’t stop feeling cold and shivery, I feel cold anyway because of blood thinners but my body is sensitive and I feel so cold. Had a slight irregular HB this morning so trying hard not to be disappointed yet. Does colchicine make you cold by any chance

3 days post 2nd ablation
Hi all, I’ve managed to have a shower today but I am scared of getting my HR up to high, I don’t think it was to much have a shower but it did make me feel wiped out a bit. Not sure if it’s the colchicine helping with that , I can’t remember last time I took it how it made me feel.

Naproxem
Whilst suffering an attack of gout, I was prescribed Colchicine which I spoke about in a separate post Ive now suffered another attack and told the doctor I cant take the above drug as it spiked my tinnitus. So they have now prescribed Naproxen which to my mind is possibly just as bad. Anyone had experience

Tinnitus Spiking
I've had tinnitus since around 2012 when I went on a short course of an anxiety treatment drug. Its been steady ever since, peaking now and again but never getting too much worse. Just after Christmas I went quite deaf in one ear with a different tinnitus sound which lasted for a few days and then

Does colchicine help with energy levels?
Happy new year all. I hope your doing well. I had a flare over Xmas ( I think because of gluten but future will tell). My ankle started to swell within a few hours of accidental gluten exposure. I've so far managed my condition with diet and lifestyle but Rhuematologist seems quite keen for me to try
