Fatigue research
Dear all, just got back from hospital where I was asked if I'd be happy to join research program starting in January looking into whether cognitive behaviour therapy helps with experience of fatigue. I said yes I'll happily get on board. I'm up for anything that will help me, or others.

Article in WDDTY (What Doctors Don't Tell You).

well farewell everyone I don't have RA
Went to rheumy registrar today who tells me the MRI on my right hand showed no inflammation so I don't have RA. They have no idea what is wrong with me and all he could come up with is a pain syndrome and would I like to go to the pain clinic and do cognitive behavior therapy. No I said I don;t believe

Psychiatrist tomorrow
I saw her for the first time 6 weeks ago. I've been booked for a course of "Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy" starting in October, but this is just a review. I have good days and bad days, I'm having a major problem with procrastination over housework etc. I'm also having major pain problems,

Week 23 in the big mama house and I am having fun observing the oxytocin response (or rather the lack of it) on the hubby. For him the little ripper is a little alien in a galaxy far, far away aka there is no emotional connection. This is because most men who don't have kids don't produce oxytocin (the

Why is my counsellor so against medication!?
On Friday i had a meeting with my new counsellor, who im not too keen on. But said i was considering seeing my GP for medication and she reacted as though id said the most ridiculous thing in the world and that they would make me depressed and suicidal! I felt like crying and that was the only hope of

I am on the hunt for an eight week course that a group of us could do together. There are about 4 of us from Mindful Mumas-to-be interested so far. There are a few starting at the very end of September/beginning of October weekday nights in London on average two hour sessions with one full day on

Reflux and stress.
Went to the docs this morning told him about my reflux and weight loss he has put it down to stress. I can increase my lanzaprazole to twice a day until the reflux has settled down, he says not to keep it at that for too long as it causes thinning of the bones and can affect other medication I take.

Anxiety and your HEART
i am afraid to sleep in case I never wake up. I'm not having palpitations, but I'm uncomfortably aware of my heartbeat and the physical presence of my heart in my chest. Should I phone a friend or dial 999? What if it's a false alarm and I end up spending hours in A&E for nothing, like I did last

Writing under a temporary name to get something off my chest that is breaking my heart....
I have added this new account so I can hide who I am whilst I share something that I have kept to myself for almost 3 years and I just have to get it out..... It is the sort of thing that people have opinions on....to be honest this is more about how I feel......I have not told ANYONE this My husband
