AF and Cognitive Impairment
I'd like to raise this topic for general discussion as it seems to be one side of Afib that rarely gets mentioned. What are people's experiences and recommendations? A few years ago I used to teach English in a company where they encouraged staff to have "Aha" moments (the insants when you come up

It is often associated with
cognitive
impairment
or 'brain fog'. 2. Peripheral fatigue - this is the feeling of your muscles just not letting you carry out tasks. The motivation is there but your arms and legs just don't let it happen.

People with atrial fibrillation are more likely to develop mild
cognitive
impairment
(memory problems) and dementia than those without atrial fibrillation. Having a stroke also increased these risks.

Why do I feel so much better in the evening?
The anxiety/shakiness is terrible first thing in the morning, but by 8pm in the evening, I'm almost normal - No
cognitive
impairment
, good mood, no anxiety. This lasts until I go to sleep, when the pattern begins again upon waking.

Meds and cognitive impairment.
My husband has now come out of hospital after a catheter infection and Covid. His meds have been altered but I've noticed his cognitive functions have worsened. I don't think the MSA docs mention this as part of the illness so is it due to certain meds and which ones please?

Brain fog and
cognitive
impairment
. This past summer I did a full course of transcranial magnetic stimulation, something like 36 sessions. No benefit. I am now almost finished with a full treatment cycle of Spravato esketamine. No benefit. Hope is hard to find. No drive. Disordered eating.
