Damage caused by speculum
I had injection in right eye with eyelea last Friday. As numbing drops wore off I had excruciating unbearable pain in my eye. Had to keep eyes closed & dsperately try not to allow my eyes to move at all. Had to get my daughter over to take me to A&E where, after long wait, was told by ophthalmologist

Pleurisy
Just been diagnosed with pleurisy after 3 weeks of chest infection where I ended up in hospital. Been put on prednisolone for 5 days (6 a day) and 2 weeks of yet another antibiotic doxycycline for 2 weeks, inhaler and co-codamol. On my 2nd day, my question is how long before I can see an improvement

I’ve always had extremely heavy, painful periods and needed the help of clomid to conceive my children. After years of intermittent pain and now 2 years of constant pain I’ve seen colorectal consultants, urologist and a gynaecologist. I never thought that it was a bowel problem but went through the

Bit scared - endocarditis survivor with flu-like symptoms
Hi everyone, I'm hoping for some words of reassurance, and also to ask if anyone's been through the same thing. I had endocarditis this year and had an artificial replacement aortic valve fitted through open heart surgery, partly because they discovered I was born with a bicuspid one (which had made

Unsuccessful pain management
Hi everyone, Last night I ended up being taken into my local A + E by ambulance after ringing 111. I’m on the second day of my cycle and have been having my usual symptoms; sickness, headaches, fainting, diarrhoea and feeling extremely fatigued. The pain this month is the worst it’s been, it just seems
