New here: Managing B12 dosage, "crashes" and antibiotics
Hey folks. I'd be grateful for any insights here if anybody has the time... I've lived with this health issue for almost a decade, without treatment. It has been called many things including IBS, Fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue and my personal favourite "some sort of mental health issue". My last GP struck

Trapped Lung
After a relatively good day yesterday I finally had a phone call I had been waiting for since the end of last week. I have been chasing the hospital up to find out if an embolisation procedure to stop my chylothorax will be possible. There is still no news now the consultant radiologist is talking to

Intrinsic antibody test after B12 multivits
Struggling with clarity on whether I should have the intrinsic antibody test when I have already had some B12 in my multivits? I have never had that test. The only bit I saw on the PA charity website was 'BE AWARE – taking supplements that contain B12 will affect any tests ordered by your doctor to

B12 deficiency - more frequent injections
Hi all, newbie here :-) I was diagnosed with b12 deficiency in January after months of feeling rotten. Initially I was pleased it was 'nothing serious' and could be sorted with injections. Levels were below 150 at diagnosis, no idea of the exact figure as test didn't show them. Also had slightly

Prescribed Bisoprolol / aspirin having side effects any advice?
Hi, I am new to this website my name is Stuart and I'm 41. I was diagnosed with a LBBB aged 39 in 2016 after having an episode of chest pain this showed up on an ecg, my bloods were tested and no traces of the enzyme troponin were found so cardiology confirmed I hadn't had myocardial infarction but said

Is B12 196 normal?
Hi everyone, I'm just after a bit of advice please. About 6 weeks ago I went to my GP because I had tingling in my toes on my left foot, was tired all the time, getting headaches, feeling unsteady on my feet, being a bit more clumsy than usual, feeling groggy. My GP did some blood tests and it came back

It's not always bad news!
I had a chest X-ray in January this year and was told I had ring shadows that could represent bronchiectasis and also there were changes in my emphysema, waited four months for a ct scan, then another two weeks for the results, luckily my ring shadows was nothing and they had disappeared 😀 I'm so pleased

Feel so lonely
Good morning. Around 13 years ago, following my very first chest x-ray, it was discovered that I have a hypoplastic right lung with pulmonary atresia. This very rare condition means that I basically only breathe with my left lung, which has grown to become sufficient enough for my needs. I now have bronchiectasis

Hi all. As per first post I am newly diagnosed with Hashimotos. I take 125 mcg Levo, still have fatigue, muscle aches, eczema. Any idea when this will improve. I had my dose increased 3 weeks ago and I was diagnosed with hypothyroid in 2013 before the Hashimotos was found. I seem to have a bit of rheumatism

I had a private pernicious anaemia
