Abdomen Pain

I've posted before about upper abdomen pain which I had for about 6 weeks. I've had blood tests, and ECG and a chest x ray which all came back fine. The pain cleared up for about a week and a half. I then went out a run and I noticed the pain came back. This was on Saturday and I'm still experiencing the pain now. Can the pain be anything to do with exercise and over exerting myself?

Just guessing but possibly over demand on the diaphragm muscles. Another guess, undiagnosed hernia perhaps.

No one here can know for sure.

Assuming you are adequately hydrated.

You don't mention if you have a diagnosed lung condition, some people with a lung condition can still run but most can't - over exertion can be a problem. If you don't have a diagnosed lung condition I should speak again with your doctor, even if you do have a diagnosed lung condition what you are experiencing may not be directly related to damaged lungs.

Good luck with finding the cause.

No I've not been diagnosed with a lung condition. The doctor said my lungs looked fine in the chest x ray. I also have previously had a lung function test and that was fine. Someone mentioned possibly it could be IBS. I have a phone appointment with my doctor on Thursday again so hopefully something can be done. Thanks for the reply.

Here is probably not the best place for you to post as you do not have a diagnosis of a lung condition. Perhaps post about this on the IBS or general health boards at patient UK.

Good luck - glad you have an appointment with your doctor Thursday.

Sorry I didn't realise you needed a lung condition diagnosed before you could post on here. Thanks for your help anyway.

You are welcome, hope you find the cause of what is ailing you. All the best.

You don’t need a diagnosed lung condition to post on this forum, unless I have been misinformed.
