Tramadol
Hi ladies. So 30mg co-codamol isn’t helping my pains so now been prescribed tramadol. Bit wary of this pain killer. How have you got one with it? I work full time and I don’t know how it effects you during work.

Side Effects of CBD Oil
I was interested in Idasmums post about how CBD oil had helped her. In addition to PMR (in 6th year) I have Spinal Stenosis and Osteo Arthritis and am constantly in pain. I am unable to have the surgery required due to a recent bone scan showing Osteopaenia. Paracetamol, Codeine Phosphate, Naproxen and

DIY seems to be the only way to go with this.
Well did enjoy my 2-day respite, but now I am paying the piper. Just when I thought my 12mg daily Pred was going to do the trick, I get unexpected pains in my right ankle which seem to radiate up as far as my hip. A few sleepless nights and morning doses of co-codamol on top of my Pred ( hopefully )

Scoliosis and Osteopathy
Has anyone had success in being “straightened up” by osteopathy? The scoliosis was caused by my third spinal fusion three years ago. After two treatments, am certainly straighter but the pain is really awful. Is it normal to feel great for two days after treatment, and the dreadful pain kicking in for

Amitripyline
Just started taking these for arthritis pain and the tiredness in the morning is bad will this get any better as my doctor says take them for at least 2weeks. Not doing much for the pain or the body stiffness yet either. Have come off Co-codamol for Amitripyline.

Taking the plunge
A very good late PMR morning (it was when I started writing this) to anyone picking-up this post. Having followed the forum for a couple of months, written 1 reply and gained an enormous amount of useful information, I am “taking the plunge” and introducing myself. I’m not a great social media user (

Post lap questiond
Hi, I have a few questions. Sorry for the long post. I had a diagnostic lap on Monday. I had emergency open surgery when abroad last May and they removed an endometrioma from my left ovary, simple cyst from my right ovary and my appendix. My pain was worsening so I knew I had endometriosis somewhere

Arthritis
My recent x-ray shows arthritis in both hips & lower back, seeing doctor today, when I first went to see my doctor he gave me Co-codamol which I am not keen on so lets see what he suggests today. I tried to get through W1 of my CT5K but, had to give up, another problem I have is my calves which tightened

Prostap advice required
Hi ladies, hope everyone is as ok as they can be. I wonder if anyone can help? I'm due for my first prostap injection on the 23rd May and I've read, and heard from an Endo sufferer, that it can cause a flare up before it shuts your cycle down. What I forgot to ask her was how long after the injection

Could it be fibromyalgia
Hi. Well where to begin! I have Hypothyroidism, am medicated and therefore I expect my levels are as good as they can be. However, the pain I experience day after day, which I thought were due to the thyroid, could possibly be due to fibromyalgia. I went to the Nurse at my local practice who I had never

Knee pain
Hello 👋 Sorry to post another post about knee pain but I’m looking to see if anyone has had a similar experience and what they did about it. A couple of years ago I used to run and could comfortably do so for around 30 minutes (I was also attending a gym at the time and doing weights). I let myself

15 days post lap, in more pain
I'm 15 days post lap (was an extensive procedure) and am starting to wonder if everything is alright. Since surgery, I have been in pretty much constant pain and nausea - from the moment I wake up to the last thing I experience before sleep: pain. The type of pain does fluctuate though, between stinging

Any advice please?
Diagnosed PMR August 2015 and started on 15 mg Pred. After approx 8/9 months developed pain in right buttock. Have always been told this is not due to the PMR and encouraged to reduce steroids. Physiotherapy has not helped but physio did help with some muscle weakness I had at that time and that

Sorry but do painkillers help?
Hi everyone I think I have successfully reduced to 2.5 mgs of pred. It’s taken me this long to recognise that every time I get to the next reduction level I have 7 to 10 days of worsening symptoms until I even out. I now know this is the withdrawal. This time I started taking co codamol only 2 at night
