Going round in circles
I have another appointment at my GP today (having seen them at least once a week for the past 2 months) to try and sort my pain levels out. I suffer with chronic back, hip and joint pain - no official diagnosis as of yet but GP is worried about the instability of my hip joint. It clunks out of place

Desperate for adequate medication.
Hi, my partner has struggled with pain from Fibromyalgia for many years. This is our 4th year together and during this time she's never been able to nail decent pain meds. Co-codamol, Gabapentin & Naproxen have all but failed. She continues to soldier on with these in various combinations but her GP

Being tested for Lupus help
Hi everybody I’m extremely new to this sight and truthfully I hadn’t ever heard of Lupus before I don’t really still fully understand it if I’m honest so any help would be so greatfully received. I’m 45 married two children which I adore, I had my Thyroid gland removed when I was 30 due to having multinodular

Pain Relief offered on NHS
UK Fibro Friends: I am recently diagnosed & all my doctor has offered me is co-codamol. The specialist even recommended that this was the best level of pain control, after talking to me for less than 10 minutes. It doesn’t really touch my pain & id like to ask for something stronger, but I’m nervous

Pericarditis diagnosed 10 weeks ago/now don't know what it is?
I was diagnosed with Acute Pericarditis 10 weeks ago however after 8 weeks of treatment colchicine, ibuprofen, co-codamol my symptoms were getting worse. At the moment my cardiologist doesn't know what it is but he's pretty sure its not pericarditis. As such I'm having other tests however these take

New and in need of some advice
Hello, I’m 29 and have been struggling with period pain for years, pretty much since I first started my periods at age 12. Over the past couple of months they have become progressively worse I.e. I take the 30/500 co-codamol and it’s not been hitting the period pain at all, I’m literally still writhing

Severe endometriosis with nodules on bladder and ivf
Hi ladies, I’m doing ivf and I’ve been told by my fertility doctor not to take NSAID when taking my stimulation hormone injection. She told me I can take co-codamol or paracetamol. I’ve been taking co-codamol which is not helping at all. My bladder is hurting like hell. Any advice what else I can used

Everything hurts - almost.
This is my first time posting here. I have posted on the PMR board which was very helpful. I have been convinced I have it in addition to RA because of chronic shoulder pain, particularly the right one. Up until 2 years ago I had been pain free on Enbrel followed by Remicade and then it all went pear-shaped

Mebeverine
Hi I've been prescribed Mebeverine and told to only take when I have IBS? Pain, with paracetamol. I think it does help but sometimes when pain is really bad, paracetamol is not really strong enough. I have been advised I can take co-dydramol but haven't tried this yet. Can anyone advise on how often

Sleep deprived
Good morning dear lupies. Here I am again early hours of the morning after managing a full 2hrs of sleep again. I’m going crazy. Had my pain meds changed from co-codamol to tramadol and feeling that I have showers every 5 mins so the quilt is off on off on off on etc etc. My husband now has his own quilt

Newly diagnosed
Hi, I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia a couple of days ago. I'm a night time care assistant and am worried about if I can continue to do my job as my legs really hurt. I'm on gabpentin and taking co-codamol but still in pain. I'm working tomorrow night, any help would be gratefully received. Thanks

How to ease the pain
Has anyone managed to find a way to help with the pain? Doctors have put me on a few different painkillers over the last 2 year's, from Co-dydramol, naproxen, codine combined with paracetamol. Now I'm on Mefamics and I just can't fight through this pain anymore. ☹ was woundering if anyone had found

Buccastem & Apixaban (my 2nd post this morning)
Apparently Migralieve Pink tablets for Migtaine (the ones with the anti-emetic) are currently unavailable at pharmacies due to supply problems. I asked the pharmacist for alternatives & she suggested Buccastem then Co-codamol once the nausea has passed. Trouble is I’m on Apixaban & would need a prescription

Possible Urinary Endometriosis
Hi all, Long and complicated story about diagnosis and an operation but basically I don’t think it helped. I have cerebral palsy and have had since birth but what I didn’t see coming was when I started off with heavy periods from the age of 13 and my GP started me on Mefanamic Acid which didn’t help
