Cimetidine
Hi, my doctor prescribed
Cimetidine
for my painful bladder, I have the impression that it exacerbates restless leg syndrome. I'd like to know your opinion before taking this medication. Thanks in advance.

I've got a date for seeing the gastro surgeon on 19/6 and hopefully better treatment while i wait. 40mg twice a day of Esomeprazole and
cimetidine
if needed. Has anyone taken these?. I've also got a date for my adrenal test on 18/5. Not long at all. Thank you all for your unwavering support.

Country-wide medical records infer increased allergy risk of gastric acid inhibition
A newspaper article and a paper in Nature that raise questions about the effects of Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPI - such as Omeprazole, Lansoprazole, Dexlansoprazole, Esomeprazole, Pantoprazole and Rabeprazole), Sucralfate, H2-receptor antagonists (such as

Cinetidine & Loratadine ect
Anyone know of research
Cimetidine
(tagamet) and Loratadine (Claritin)? Is it ok to take antihistamines like loratadine, zyrtec, or allegra with CLL? Are any of the other names listed suspected as beneficial?

Integrative doctor recommandations ?
I use Care Oncology also, but I had extra medication from him, such as
Cimetidine
. I am based in France, but anyone in the UK or Europe would be great. Feel free to message me privately! Thank you

I finally saw the neurologist! Well, more accurately I saw his registrar!
The next thing I knew a script for
cimetidine
had been sent to the pharmacy with no discussion with me! Within two days of starting it my stomach was burning & the reflux was plaguing me again.

Swallowing issues with liquid and food
Fairly recent tests showed inflammation in my throat and I was put on a H2 blocker (
cimetidine
) and I was told it could be indigestion, but although I think it exasperates my problem - as the problem continues - I’m just not convinced that is the answer.

Difficulty getting prescribed H2 Blockers.
This was then withdrawn and since, my pharmacy has not been able to obtain the substitutes which the doctors have subsequently prescribed:- famotidine,
cimetidine
and nizatidine. Does anyone know if these are now available or a similar H2 blocker?

FAMOTIDINE as an alternative to Cimetidine. Any side effects.
Due to the availability issues with
Cimetidine
and Ranitidine I have changed to Famotidine. Would be interested to hear of any side effects you may have experienced if you have also changed from
Cimetidine
to Famotidine. Also do you find Famotidine effective. Thank you.

GERD And Acid Reflux And What We Can Do About It
For the school of thought that GERD can be caused by excess stomach acid, antacids such as proton pump inhibitors (PPI) like Prilosec, Nexium & Prevacid, antacids such as baking soda or Tums and histamine antagonists such as
Cimetidine
/Tagamet and Zantac which work as histamine receptor antagonists.

Fenbendazole-Mebendazole (and other stuff) PSA progress report
no real idea how much (if any) of the PSA drop is due to mebendazole and how much (if any) is due to the other agents (all of which I discovered on Health Unlocked prostate cancer forums): DIM - 300 mg starting June 2019 but took it very intermittently until March 2020 - since then it's been daily

UK Medications Update, August 24, 2020
The following link shows the likely availability of the different options and should remain updated. https://psnc.org.uk/our-news/supply-notification-h2-antagonists-
cimetidine
-famotidine-and-nizatidine/ It maybe helpful to look at the list with your prescribing doctor and/or speak with your pharmacist
