A word of caution about stopping Omeprazole if you take NSAIDs
Having read several times that Omeprazole affected the absorption of thyroid medication, I stopped it some weeks ago. After a while, I started getting breathless with burning pains across my back and down the centre of my front, at first intermittent and then all the time. I felt awful and even thought

Returning DVT
Hi I had a DVT almost six months ago and went on a 3 month course of warfarin. Which seemed to work as the pain and swelling went. However just over a week ago I started limping again and had pain in my calf again the same place as before. I have been feeling pretty rough last couple of days feeling

Anyone with "normal" FEV1 staged at moderate emphysema?
Hi everyone! I had my first visit to a respiratory specialist today and I'm even more confused. I thought staging was based on PFT results. With an FEV1/FVC % of less than .70 and an FEV1 95% predicted I thought pointed to mild emphysema. Though when the specialist put up the CT scans from May 2013

Could I have some advice please?
3-4 weeks ago I had my first episode of AF in around a year. The docs gave me some more Bisoprolol and I went back to sinus rhythm 40 mins later. Entire episode lasted about 9 hours. Bloods, chest x-ray etc all came back normal and I was told to go straight back to A&E if it happened again. My current

GP's tonight - raging!
Loooooooooooooong back story. Into my eleventh year now of trying to get a diagnosis, but have now been on levo since June 2013 and am much improved. I actually went to the doctor’s about episodes of chest pain not related to exercise. I’ve had a chest x-ray and an ECG, both of which were ‘normal’

Hi My name is Lisa and this is about my husband, Mike. My husband is 56, an ex-smoker for 12 years, doesn't drink, started eating healthier and has lost 10 pounds in the last 2 months. He was doing well except for shortness of breath but "only" when getting up and down. He was out of breath doing

Humira
As long as my insurance will pay for it, it looks like I will be starting Humira shortly. Had chest X-ray and skin test for TB yesterday and see the rheumatologist tomorrow where he will prescribe Humira. Any advice regarding best times to give injection, anything to avoid, reduction of side effects

Low lung capacity
I am a 39 year old man, Smoker, weight 63KG & height 172 cm I fell always a mild shortness of breathe from the last 02 month. My doctor makes me the, Chest x-ray, 6 minute walk test, allergy test & a bronco provocation test. My chest X-ray, 6 minute walk test is quite normal with 95% oxygen saturation
