Chest X-Ray results.

Well a few weeks ago I was off work for a week with man flu, a very heavy head cold, it passed but now my two son's have caught it, now I've caught a bad ear nose throat infection, now my poor wife has it, just cant rid the family of this viral bug.

I was at my doctors on Monday to get some meds, he put me on Amoxicillin 2x 5ml 4 times a day, it must be ready to burn it's self out by now, good thing is my chest is clear.

He showed me the letter from the Hospital regarding my recent chest x-ray. The wording as follows:

COPD and known bullous emphysema

XR Chest:

The heart is not enlarged. The lungs are hyper-inflated with extensive bullous emphysema change particularly on the right lung, but no focal consolidation (no lung infection) and little change from 2011.

My doctor is still convinced I was born with this condition as he stated again the amount of fags I smoked since the age of 17 to 42 should not have caused this. He said if I keep doing what Im doing I really should not see a great amount of difference in the future even though the lung fev1 decreases with age, Im am 46 just now so I will need to keep focused on keeping fit and being health conscious.
