I've been having the same problem, not with Cilest but with Yasmin. It's really annoying so I've just decided to take it normally as it's better than the discomfort tricycling brings and the unexpected bleeds!

Have you tried the mini pill or any other options? X

I was in Yasmin before I went onto Cilest that did the same thing if I have a break my period pains are horrendous :( I've been on cerezzet, microgynon or what ever it is and Yasmin now Cilest and no luck I have prostap in the past aswell x

It's so annoying isn't it!! But when the body wants to bleed it will bleed! Trial and error Hun. What about the coil? X

I too have been put back on Celeste to manage my endo pain. I take mefenamic acid with codeine and have no relief some days! I have been bleeding and spotting with pain for 4weeks straight. It has been horrendous, worst than being off the pill. I too was told to take it in a straight 3 cycle with no break. I think i will get to the end of this cycle and break off. It doesn't seem to be helping my situation right now. Pray we both get through it. Good to know we are not alone! Xox

I find reading these comments comforting to know that I'm not alone. I'm currently on my second continuous Cilest packet. Been on it since December '13. Been bleeding for 4 weeks straight and before then, I had a week of not. Bled on Marvelon, Yasmin, Cerazette and the implant. However, I think this is probably the longest continuous time at the moment. Also, I know its a bit tmi but this time has been nothing but brown blood with stringy clots..as if I didn't feel gross enough. We should have shares in menstruation products!!! xxx

Hun the best thing for you to do is to come off it and have a withdrawal bleed of the old blood and start afresh again. There's old blood in you that needs to be expelled thats why youre bleeding for such an extended amount of time. Same thing happened to me I bled for over 2 months on cilest but I was advised to come off it, habe a withdrawal bleed for about 5 days and start afresh. Took their advise and it helped x

Yes same thing happened to me whilst on cilest. I bled tgroughout the whole time I was on it which was about 3 months, which kind of defeats the purpose of taking it in the first place! My gp took me off it and im now on yasmin, which is a lot better. I still bleed sporadically, but its definitely better than cilest. Your best bet will be to speak to your gp about it, its obvious cilest isn't agreeing with your hormones that's why, you'll probably have to try another pill.

I can't have Yasmin it doesn't agree with me I've tried it twice the bleeding worse with Yasmin than cilest am still in hospital am seeing gyane tomorrow so they may suggest something to do differently

Hi all. Years ago I was originally put on celeste and was told later that this was the wrong pill to treat endo. I had problems with it where I have never had anything with microgynyn or any other hormone. I now am on the coil which is actually making a significant difference! I was in pain everyday and am now having normal days which I have not had for two years.

Oh am still in hosp am seeing gyane tomorrow hopefully they will change the pill am fed up with it, I've been told about the coil but I struggle to have any internals or anything as it's painful so I don't think they would be able to get the coil in me am in pain every day atm :(

Im same as You. I cant bear smears or internals but had local anaesthetic and had it done in hospital. It wasn't easy but it was manageable. You can actually have general. I really think it's worth

A shot.
