Chest tightness and shortness of breath with normal MRI
Sorry, this is a long post, but I'd be really grateful if anyone on here could help. I started having chest tightness and shortness of breath about four months ago, which started off as being intermittent and gradually got to the stage where it was constant. Around the same time, there was about a 1

Fluid in my lungs and heart slightly enlarged
I have completed two courses of FCR but have been becoming quite breathless and with tightness in the lower neck/upper chest area. My consultant arranged for a chest x-ray which shows I have a little fluid in my lungs and a marginally enlarged heart. Could this have been caused by the FCR drugs or

Hi, I hope I've got the correct area to post. I've just joined after being diagnosed with lung cancer. It has been found by accident through having a huge abscess (backside area), that I tried to treat myself, then seeing the doctor about it, who sent me for routine blood tests to see what the infection

Hello there, I've got a dry cough and a crackling sound in my chest. Doc says its viral and gave me an inhaler! How long will it go on?
I also have Barrett's Oesophagus. Now that I've done my own research; worried it might be Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR); Going to mention it if my symptoms don't improve, or ask for a chest x-ray, just feel that when they say its 'viral' they think you are being a hypochondriac!

Don't ignore the side effects of drugs
I was placed on dronedarone that I knew could give me a non-productive cough. My EP e-mailed to say that the cough would take several weeks to settle. The monitoring GP wasn't convinced about the worsening cough and sent me for a chest x-ray. I've just spent eleven days in hospital with pneumonia

ICU 2008 my storey
I had come home from a wonderful 2 week holiday in Spain with my wife. I felt refreshed and relaxed ready for the working months ahead. With the aim to earn enough to pay the bills and think of where to go next year for our holiday. At least that was the plan and like most well laid plans, things

I have had a cough since February. I have seen the gp and all he has given me is antihistamine and says its allergy issues. I ended up
in A&E he other day as could not stop coughing for 4 hours and could not breathe and vomited also. The hospital done chest X-ray which was clear, they also done blood tests which was fine. They have now given me a brown pump for my asthma to add to the blue pump I am using, they also gave me lanzaprazole
