Hi there, I woke up with extreme pain in my left shoulder 2 days ago. I let it go all day and then finally went to emergency. They did a chest X-ray, blood work and an ECG, all of which came back normal. 2 days later I am experiencing the same extreme pain, especially when I take a deep breath. I’m

High white blood cell count
My GP sent me for blood tests, yet again, last week. He rang me 2 days later to ask if I felt ok as my white blood cell count was through the roof and I am now showing signs of anaemia. Got a bit concerned as he kept asking repeatedly "did I feel ok?" Anyway, had more bloods done yesterday, chest x ray

Hashimotos and asthma treatments
Hi everyone, I've had Hashimoto's disease for over 7 years (more like 20+ years undiagnosed) and I've just been diagnosed with possible asthma. I've been prescribed a brown "preventer" inhaler and a ventolin inhaler. I'm on a 6 week trial of these to see if there's any improvement and I'm having

Is it really asthma ?
I'm new to this forum and I've decided to post my questions here because I've been struggling to breathe for 2 months and it's not getting any better. Before I start, I should probably mention that I used to have asthma when I was very little until age 5 and I suffer from allergies. But after that age

Any bright ideas? (Bit of a vent too!)
We’re day 15 of 21 on the children’s ward and I’m scratching my head a bit tbh. The 11yo has cf (chronic pseudo since age 4) and is on 4 monthly elective IVs, and was discharged following a *mostly* planned admission at the end of Feb that included positive culture at the start for the usual PA as well

What are your symptoms when your INR is high?
Yesterday I had an INR of 9.8 and was experiencing crippling chest pain as well as random pains in my head (like having a knitting needle poking into my brain) I was given vit K and rushed to the main hospital. My kidneys weren’t producing much urine and what they did produce was thick and dark. In

Hi. I have been having angina symptoms on exertion and when stressed for about 9 months now along with palpitations at rest. I was referred by GP to Rapid Access Chest Pain clinic, have had chest x-ray, 2 resting ECGs and a Cardiac CT scan. After waiting 5 weeks for result of CT, I rang to chase and
