Stiffness in scalp and Physio
Diagnosed with PMR IN January. Now on 15 mgs .the stiffness originally was lower body but now primarily upper body..mainly into my head and behind ear...very uncomfortable..not sharp pain but dull ache ...GCA was ruled out by A great Rheumatologist..so he mentioned a chest X-ray and physiotherapist

Worried about other half
So after being diagnosed with AF and unsuccessful cardioversion, OH has taken Amiodarone for 18 months prior to ablation last November. Following ablation, he suffered with digestive problems. Continued to take Amiodarone til he started coughing & feeling breathless; he saw his GP who immediately stopped

Pain in right upper abdomen
Hi, I'm very worried about my husband who's had a dull ache for a few weeks under his right rib cage. He also has twinges in his back occasionally. He had a CT scan a month ago, a chest X ray and ultrasound of his kidneys which was all clear. We have an appointment with GP but not for a few days. Any

Shortness of breath and wheezing :(
Good Day, I have been having shortness of breath and wheezing for about 10 months now. It started with heart palpitations and headaches. I went to my doctor and he put me on amlodipine 10mg. I eat healthy and exercise 4-5 times per week and fit for my age. I thought that I could cure my blood pressure

18 years of age shortness of breath/dyspnea
Firstly I am an 18 year old male and about 3 weeks ago I noticed a shortness of breath and it has been with me ever since I feel the need to keep taking a deep breath. I have had a chest X-ray, ecg and ekg and all came back normal/clear. About 2 days prior to the breathlessness I had been vaping on nicotine

ECG test results
Hi there I am a 49 year old woman with a family history of heart disease. Following long lasting heart palpitations I had a ECG and it showed TWI in leads V1-4 + aVL. I am being referred for an echocardiogram. The cardiologist didn’t seem too concerned and my chest X-ray and bloods were all clear. However

Latest labs look good?
Here's the deal. I've felt terrible since June 2017 when I was diagnosed with postpartum thyroiditis. I likely had Hashimotos for many years prior but wasn't ever diagnosed. At the time of dx, my TSH was over 100 and free levels were tanked. Symptoms flooded in over the following months including crushing

Thank You
I am blown away by the lovely responses to my first post yesterday, thank you so much. I was diagnosed as having mild COPD four years ago by a gastro oncologist following a CT scan. Since then I have had problems getting the doctors to take it seriously despite raising it several times. Last year

Should I be worried?
Had a cough since last Tuesday, got worse by the weekend and found I was using my inhalers a lot more due to chest tightness. Woke up at 1am this morning with a harsh, sharp pain in my chest when breathing in and out. Went down to a&e, Chest x Ray was clear, peak flow was okay and was given steroids

Pneumonia Vaccine
Morning all, after a chest X-ray and a spirometer test, I have been diagnosed with mild COPD. Last week the nurses suggested I have the pneumonia vaccine. I asked her if there are any side effects, she said only a pain in my arm 😃 Has anyone here had any other side effects from the vaccine. I ask

Need advice as the Docs don’t talk!!
I finally found
cilest
which has been the best one for calming my pains and keeping my periods roughly regular but I now discharge all the time heavily which is annoying (I’ve had tests for other causes of discharge and I’m clear).

Goodbye and thanks for all the fish
Well, yesterday was the appointment with my Rheumy which because of my first consultation going so badly, I held out no great hope for as he had talked over me, ignored me and generally treated me like c**p. So off I drove, after having the worst fortnight of flares for months. I still had 5 active

Any Costochondritis sufferers on here?
A couple of years ago this condition was question marked as my GP had sent me to hospital by ambulance suffering with a really bad chest pain, like I'd been kicked in the sternum. I had a chest x-ray, ECG and Bloods taken then an home. I have had RA for 15 years and have latent TB found 25 years ago

Just been diagnosed with Asthma, even though have not had the results of the Chest X Ray back yet. Doctor is fairly certain it's Asthma. My lung function was pretty dire - scored 130 and should be around 400 :/ Just wanted to introduce myself as I can see myself coming here often, having been diagnosed

Pleural effusion, its implications and pain relief
My husband has been diagnosed three days ago with pleural effusion and is due to have it drained in a weeks time. He's been on the Flair trial with ibrutanib for three years and generally has done quite well on it, with a couple of blips. He's had to come off it in preparation for the procedure. The

Heart Murmurs Worried
Hello everyone, I have been having heart palpitations (tachycardia) for the last 4 months. I had an appointment with cardiologist today and he listened to my heart and found out murmurs but ECG came back normal with fast heart rate. He now asked for ECHO, 72 hours monitor, and chest X-ray to be done.

UPDATE: FIRST HAEMO APPOINTMENT. NO PV.
Just thought I'd send an update as I went to my haematologist appointment today (see previous post for info/comments) and thought my experience might help others here who are curious about PV and don't have a diagnosis yet. I was referred to Haemo when my bloods came back several times with RBC 6.0,
