Cirrhosis and hepatitis
Hi Everyone, My brother in law is in the hospital with alcohol cirrhosis and hepatitis C. Without a transplant he will not survive. Does anyone know if the hepatitis is a significant factor for receiving a transplant? Or is it mostly the precursor to cirrhosis? My husband had a liver transplant in September

I had my test day almost two weeks ago so only a week before the scan… I’ve been feeling exhausted and have been experiencing nausea for about a week. I did another urine pregnancy test exactly

Experience with Tacrolimus with or without Azathioprine
Hi all! My drs are suggesting to put me on tacrolimus alongside AZA to help with my joint pain. Has anyone been on tacrolimus? With or without AZA or another immunosuppressant? How is your experience? Anyone have any knowledge/experience of long-term tacrolimus? Also, I got told by the nurse

Has anyone used cordyceps as an adjunctive treatment for kidney disease?
Cordyceps worm mold is widely used in China to treat kidney disease, and some scientific studies indicate that it may reduce creatinine values in patients with chronic kidney disease. I have never found found much personal benefit from it. Conclusions of recent Chinese study: "Current evidence shows

Nutrition and Cll
I was diagnosed with Cll 3 months ago but my GP doctor suspected it a year ago. I am on W&W. I am wondering if I need to be on any kind of special diet and what supplements to take or not to take? The hematologist asked for a list of prescriptions and supplements I take but did not comment on them.

8 months
So after 8 months on Ibrutinib my spleen is close to normal size, my blood count is normal, but 1/4 to 1/3 of my lymphocytes are still CLL. Side effects are gone, although I do get the odd day with stiff joints. Great progress, and my life is almost normal again. I didn’t respond to the Covid vaccines

Relapsing on Ibrutinib
Hello everyone, as I mention here a few weeks ago, my treatment with Ibrutinib is going to end soon due to (Dr. thinks) a mutation. I am going to see the Oncologist in 2 weeks and I have to make a decision which treatment I want to be put on. There are two options open for me. One is Venetoclax and

From the CLL14 Study: Venetoclax Plus Obinutuzumab Prolongs Progression Free Survival, Not Overall Survival , in CLL
These results, from the CLL14 study (ClinicalTrials.gov Identifier: NCT02242942), were presented at the European Hematology Association (EHA) 2021 Virtual Congress. Extended follow-up suggests that venetoclax plus obinutuzumab prolongs progression-free survival (PFS), but not overall survival (OS), when

STELLAR Trial in the UK for Richter's
Just a reminder that there is a UK trial at 17 centres around the UK for patients who have a Richter's transformation of their CLL. The usual treatment for Richter’s syndrome is R-CHOP. This is a combination of chemotherapy drugs and a targeted drug called rituximab. This treatment can help and cure

When did you get the infamous 3+ weeks on Clear Blue?
Hi ladies, As some of you who rallied around my super faint line at 5dp5dt a couple of weeks ago may remember, I've been testing positive since then with encouraging hcg levels (150 at 10dp5dt and 500 on 12dp5dt). But that was now almost a week ago and I've since moved to the other side of the world,

Adult Chicken pox
Hey guys last week I underwent a pretty difficult time. I am 20 years old and I didn't get chicken pox in my childhood so I got it now. Just wanted to share my experience. I basically had blisters all over my body more than 400 in total. I had fever of about 104^C continuously for about 5 days and my

Positive test but low hcg
Hi all I resisted the urge to do a HPT until today (9dp5dFET). I was a little bit excited this morning when I got a faint, but definitely positive and called my clinic who asked me to come in for a blood test. Just got the results and they say the HCG level is lower than they’d have expected (16 ☹️)
