Hi Anonymou5, I don’t know of a reproductive immunologist in the West Midlands, but I would recommend seeing Professor Shehata at the Centre for Reproductive immunology and pregnancy in Epsom. He seems to do the most comprehensive testing/treatment and if your Natural Killer Cells are high, he would also treat you with drugs additional to what you’ve listed in your post. Professor Shehata informed me that testing NKCs in the womb is really outdated and inaccurate and what you need to test is NKCs in the blood instead. He’s devoted his whole career to reproductive immunology and so I think he is the best person you can see. Best of luck with everything.
Hi Batsford, thank you for your response. I’ve looked him up and he does seem to come across highly recommended. Can I ask though, there are a lot of immune tests, did you get tested for everything? Or just a few immune tests he thought would suit your clinical history?
Hi Anonymou5, Professor Shehata is incredibly thorough and so there are approximately 16 different blood tests he does at the start to understand what is causing either miscarriage or repeated implantation failure. It was expensive at first as those tests were approximately £800, but I felt like I was in safe hands and he was very thorough, which reassured me, as my clinic is the exact opposite to this. They don’t test for anything. Good luck.
I would recommend Dr G at the FGA in Willie street for immunology testing he’s really great knows his stuff. Doesn’t try and up sell unnecessary test and works with you a devising a protocol based on results.
I always find it really interesting when people have such a different experience to mine. I absolutely would not recommend this clinic, felt the patient care was very poor and prices are a premium. I left each consultation feeling very confused. I'm glad you had a better experience than me
