I had my long awaited BFP on OTD 12dp5dt which was Tuesday. I’ve been having brown spotting and slight cramps since 6dp5dt but the spotting seems to be getting heavier rather than lighter, I’ll be 5 weeks pregnant tomorrow and it’s showing no signs of stopping. The clinic told me not to worry unless it turned red but on Wed and Thurs I had some red bleeding, only when wiping and only once per day but enough to worry me. I have called them and I’m going in for another HCG blood test tomorrow. Today the cramps have been a bit worse and more constant, very like a period, but bleeding is still brown spotting.
Just wondering if anyone has experienced this and what the outcome was?

I had this a few times in early pregnancy. Really worrying but it did stop and all was ok. Didn’t ever find cause. Last lot was at about 8-9 weeks. Sending love. Xx
I had some brown spotting on and off for the first 12 wks and some red blood. I was so scared but it turned out it was a subchronic hematoma and the baby was ok. Currently 29wks+2. When is your first scan booked? X
so I won’t lie I’ve had this be a misscariage a couple of times BUT also had it the worst with my little boy (it was actually a hematoma so nothing we could do but wait it out). You are doing the best possible thing getting the HCGs done as that’s the only thing that will give you an indication of what’s going on at this stage. I was literally the most nervous I have ever been so I won’t tell you not to worry but I will say not to just assume the worst as for right now you are pregnant and it defo doesn’t always mean the worst, especially in IVF pregnancies bleeding is much more common is what every doctor has told me! 💜 xx
Hi, unfortunately it’s not good news. Just today it’s turned into very heavy bleeding and clots so I’m pretty sure I’m miscarrying. Still have to wait until next week for a scan but I don’t have any hope. I really hope you have a better outcome X
I'm sorry to hear this. Did you or could you get HCGs repeated as that may give you an idea of what's going on while waiting for a scan? Is your clinic supporting you, or your GP?
