IDD therapy
I've seen a lot of posts on here about people suffering terribly with lower back pain caused by bulging discs. I just wanted to share my experience of this therapy. Firstly its not available on the NHS and is very expensive. It is usually , or in my case anyway, performed by my osteopath. Three years

Stress Ruining Everything. Please help!
For the past month and a half I've still been having bad neck pain, head and face pressure, numbness in my joints and weird vision. Such as visual snow and floaters the thing that freaks me out the most is the after images. I'm 19 years old and have been in perfectly good health. This all happened after

Help xray results!
Hello all I posted a week or so ago about my back and neck pain and the fact the chiropractor did an xray for me. Well I got the results today, it apparently shows two damaged discs, in the upper back and neck. The chiropractor referred to this as 'degenerative arthritis'. I'm thinking I should probably

CONSTANT LIGHTHEADEDNESS AFTER ALCOHOL for 3 MONTHS
Hi all, just wondering if anyone can shed any light at all on my symptoms. In short, 9 years ago I went out drinking and when I got into bed I felt a brain shift, like a wave going across my brain. I woke the next morning to being hung over but I was constantly dizzy (No vertigo or balance issues) and

Mollaret’s meningitis reloaded, and ‘how to change your life, and still have one’: Feedback and additional advice sought
Hi Guys, I had planned to make this post about 6 months after my last bout of VM, but things moved in some odd directions for a while, with a bit of a relapse for good measure. However, it’s now a good time to share back some updates for anyone interested/bored of the tennis. Thanks again to all the

Back and neck pain?
Hey all I'm looking for a bit of help. I've been struggling with my back and neck for ages now. I'm under a rheumatologist but just for mixed connective tissue disease. Due to my back pain I went to see a chiropractor yesterday. He said he was shocked that I hadn't yet had an xray on my neck and back

I'm starting to believe this is stress
So I've reas up on how stress can affect the abdominal muscles and cause some cramping and constipation. This makes sense because as the days go on, this isn't getting worse, it's just kind of....staying where it's at and when I wake up, it's not there. But then when I worry about it and sit up, boom

Hi all Was diagnosed with PMR in January. Had been having a lot of lower back pain off and on for ages but as I used to do a lot of fitness classes just put it down to this. Didn't do any classes for around 6 weeks over Dec/Jan and when I realised I was still getting pains in my back thought something

Question for those with GCA
I've continued with the
chiropractic
and started Bowen sessions (I've had 4). I've had a lot of relief with the muscles, but the base of skull headache still ebbs and flows & the muscle soreness fluctuates too.

Severe health anxiety
Hello! I'm a 29 year old female. This is the first time I've posted. Not even sure where to start. Anxiety has definitely got the best of me right now. Guess I'll start with what worries me most... I had my first baby in 2006. In 2009 I was told I had cervical cancer. They suggested to remove that portion

Hi. I've just discovered this part of the site (I'm already on the C25K site). I'm 47 and have around 4 stone to lose. I was already one stone down by doing weight watchers - I joined in January. And I went down to a smaller size in my jeans (which do still fit but only just). But I really couldn't

Acupuncture?
I have now been referred to a rheumatologist, but I was also told that it might be worth investigating acupuncture of
chiropractic
. Recently, I have become very nervous of people touching my back, and so I've ruled out
chiropractic
medicine, but acupuncture could be an option.

Herniated disc in lower back
Hi I lifted a basin of water over my head to bath and since then I have had a back ache which after 3 weeks has got so bad that I can't straighten my body. I also have pain running down my right leg. I am due for an MRI in 3 days and I am wondering whether I should see a physiotherapist or a chiropractor
