Rituximab infection
Hello. Again. I’m due for my Rituximab infusion on December 1st. My Respiratory Doctor wrote to me saying there are “some infective changes” in my lower left lung. Is it a good idea to delay the infusion? I took a coarse of antibiotics last month. Any thoughts please? Thanks

End of the 7-year FLAIR trial in the FCR arm
Well, I’ve made it to the end of the 7-year FLAIR trial in the FCR chemoimmunotherapy arm (treated in 2014/2015) I went to my last review in December at the Churchill hospital in Oxford with a somewhat feeling of dread that I’m about to fall off the end of the conveyor so to speak. The Haematology is

Any other parents of very young children here? Searching for hope.
Hello everyone, I’m new to the board and wanted to introduce myself. I’m the mother of a 5 year old boy on the long road of recovery from antibody-negative autoimmune encephalitis. A quick summary of our case history: this summer my husband and I started noticing our son’s increasingly odd behavior

Rituximab one vs two 1000g dose
Hello everyone. I saw my pleasant rheumys nurse today. After doing her check up she decided to give me one dose of Rituximab instead of 2 doses this round. Any thoughts as to why she did this ? And has this happened to any one? Many thanks.

Covid Vaccine information Via JCVI
I am posting this for purely information relating to the immunosuppressed and Covid vaccination, it is a letter I received today from the Hospital. Rituximab
After the awful problems I had when switched to Azathioprine, which obvs was stopped, today I go for my first Ritubimax infusion. Apparently it takes 6 hours, and a second infusion to be given a fortnight later which will take about 4 hours. Do any of you have any experience of this? What to expect

Visit to rheumatology today...I wasn't expecting change of meds!
Hi Peeps 😊 I had a rheumatology visit today; I actually saw my rheumatologist - and not my clinical nurse - who I've seen for a good couple of years! I expected to go along and apply for funding for my 2nd round of Rituximab...nope, that didn't happen! My ESR and CRP were so raised, that she decided

Fcr not improving symptoms
Have cll and started fcr treatment. Went to have 4th treatment yesterday. Was tired and weak since last treatment. On discovering this they have delayed any treatment for 2 weeks and will have out patient appointment with consultant in 2 weeks. My bloods are great but they reckon treatment might not

Parking lot 10, elevator B, floor 8 - venetoclax edition
Some people on here who treat at MD Anderson (MDA) or have read my previous reports of my visits there will recognize the 8th floor as the leukemia ward at MDA. You get there by parking in parking lot 10 and taking elevator B. MDA is so vast a complex that there are multiple thousand car garages and

Rituximab and Covid vaccinations
I had my first cycle of Rituximab infusions in September. The nurse at the clinic advised that I should contact my Consultant to ask when I could have my third Covid vaccination and my flu vaccination. I had a phone call yesterday saying that I should wait four months until I have the vaccinations.

Well what a morning I have had. I got my letter Monday telling me to contact my GP or Consultant. I am due my Rituximab in 4 weeks so at the limit for vaccine. GP surgery said contact 119. I did but they said can’t book it now because the 6 months since your last jab isn’t up until Thursday. Rang this

Thank you
Thank you to all the kind fellow sufferers of RA who answered my question on Rituximab. I have taken on all your reply’s plus the NRAS helpline & decided to move forward & contact my Rheumy to go ahead with this treatment of infusion which I have done today, depending on blood test result. Hopefully

Very happy jagged person
Just want to say something positive about the NHS here in Scotland. Last week I wrote to the rheumatologist to try to expedite my covid jag to work with my rituximab infusion. He left a message for me to get blood tests. I reported they'd been done. He phoned me the same day to confirm that infusions

Rituximab and Systemic Sclerosis
Hi, just wondered if anyone has large calcium deposits ( I have one approx 9 x 6x 5 cm) associated with systemic sclerosis and been given rituximab infusions to help reduce? If so, how were you afterwards and any success with the treatment?

Vaccination names!
Hi, does anyone know for sure about the significance of the name given to the latest vaccination, I've heard/read that if it's called the third jab then you will be called for a booster next year, if it's called a booster its the final treatment unless things change for next year. I'm on Rituximab
