Thank you!
I like others have an awful lot to thank this site for and it’s amazing community of you. Today though, I would like to thank all of you whom showed your appreciation and support for the NHS last night, as a worried mum of a newly qualified (in her first year) 22year old nurse it meant a lot, not just

FYI -Statement From the Macular Society FB page yesterday & Gov alert
"A reminder that anti-VEGF injections are urgent medical appointments. During lockdown patients should still attend their injections if they are well enough to do so and haven’t been told to self isolate #covid19"

Migraines, PREDNISOLONE, side effects help
Hiya, I thought to check - we started out busereline injections about 14 days ago and had to stop on Friday due to the corona. Our cycle was postponed. I spent all Friday crying and I triggered a migraine. I get them a lot due to my endo but I hadn’t had one for a few months now. The issue is it won’

Elocon Not working
Hi All Prescribed Elocon 3 weeks ago for lupus profundus on my nose. I have started losing tissue which is upsetting. The redness is slightly reduced and 2 of the bigger bumps but I was told not to use it for more than 2 weeks and then have a break. If it has not cleared what do I do now ? Wait to lose

Is the Loss of Smell an Indicator of COVID-19 Infection? Probably
Spinning off comments by UK’s ENT president...and the fact that TORY MP Nadine Dorries has revealed she has completely lost her senses of taste and smell after contracting COVID-19, this is my take. (For information purposes only. See or call your physician.) ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

RA Nice Guidelines re Covid 19
Hi. Sorry I can’t put a link on. I’m not that technical. But on the Guardians news website it says NICE will be issuing guidelines soon re RA and Covid 19. They’ve already done it for cancer patients and those on kidney dialysis. Sorry no further information in the article

First day of the new me.
Today is my first day of reduced hours at work. I am very fortunate my employer has been very supportive. I have reduced my working hours from 35 to 28 giving me a day off. Breaks the week up for me. 😊 This will be reviewed in three months time and changes can be made either temporarily or permanently

Covid-19
The UK Chief Medical Officer has just said something very interesting, at least I hadn’t heard this before. Covid-19 is a two stage virus. First stage is flu. Most people never progress but stage 2 is viral pneumonia. The old and those with chronic diseases are more likely to move to this stage. Some

We have decided to stay in.
While all this virus is about, we have decided to stay in the house and only go out if absolutely necessary. (We are both 73 so I felt it wise). Yesterday I had to go to the opticians, no getting out of it because I have to go every year as both parents and one of my sisters had/has glaucoma. My thyroid

Update for my friends here
The neurologist said I don’t have MS. Says it is “degenerative spine disease” He says the inflammation is causing so much pressure on my spinal cord, it is causing all of my problems. They are holding me here overnight, so I can be seen by the neurosurgeon tomorrow. ASAP. I tried to put it off till

Any suggestions for a dry nose?
At first I had dry eyes, then I had dry mouth and now I have dry nose. Does anyone have any suggestions of how to treat it? Have you tried nasal gels?
