Migraines, PREDNISOLONE, side effects help

Hiya,

I thought to check - we started out busereline injections about 14 days ago and had to stop on Friday due to the corona. Our cycle was postponed. I spent all Friday crying and I triggered a migraine. I get them a lot due to my endo but I hadn’t had one for a few months now. The issue is it won’t go away. Since Friday my head has been pounding and I wondered if it’s a withdrawal from the PREDNISOLONE & Busereline. I am not sure what do to but I wondered if anyone else had ever taken these steroids for their round and how they felt. I am in so much pain I can barely open my eyes.

I’m so sorry your round got cancelled. I had a migraine with Buserelin. I mean I have the odd one occasionally but this was horrendous. I ended up at the hospital (my gp referred me). The only good thing is, is that now you can take something stronger than paracetamol. Try compresses on your forehead and the back of your neck and lie in a dark quiet room if you can. Drink lots of water. I actually lay with a hot water bottle on my head, which helped. It lasted a few days but got milder each day after that initial peak. I hope you feel better soon xx

I got really bad headaches when I was coming off prenisalone - I was weaning off as I was told so I know that wasn’t the issue. By the time I had finished weaning off my headaches had subsided. Hopefully it doesn’t last too long xx

Sorry to hear this Samosa. Devastating news that your cycle was cancelled, and now to have horrible side effects coming off the meds. Hoping you feel better soon. xx

Sorry it got cancelled...buserelin defy can cause migraines....drink plenty fluids...force yourself to eat little meals regularly...4head menthol stick helps me or even tiger balm on your forehead and on the back of your neck temples...and if you can paracetamol and ibuprofen...or mix one with codeine. Sleep. Good luck xx
