Prescribed Elocon 3 weeks ago for lupus profundus on my nose. I have started losing tissue which is upsetting. The redness is slightly reduced and 2 of the bigger bumps but I was told not to use it for more than 2 weeks and then have a break. If it has not cleared what do I do now ? Wait to lose more tissue ?
I wont see the dermatologist for months now with the Covid out break.
Anyone got similar experience that can offer advise ?
Thanks

It does take a while to really work. It's a extremely strong cream/ointment so use it thinly. I would take the break and them maybe start again after for a while. I did that, wouldn't use it constantly but would go back to it after a while. It all depends on how it continues to react to your skin also. Good luck
Try the 2 weeks, then see how or if it has changed anything/made it better. After you have done the next lot of treatment again see what effect it has had on your skin. Do you have cream or ointment?
I had cream first but didn't do anything at all for me. The ointment seemed to work better for me (again we are all different and out skin reacts in different ways) X
I have used the cream for two weeks...minor improvement. Not going to use it for a week then try again. You said the ointment worked better for you.....wonder if my doc would get me some or do I wait until I see a dermatologist, whenever that will be...😟
