how to exercise with AFib?
I am new with AFib, just a week into it, 61 years old. I am very anxious now about this, as I am breathless even on an easy walk. I am taking bisoprolol after I ended up in hospital with a Heart rate that wouldn’t come down until they gave me this medication. I have until this point always been super

Breathlessness
The bouts of breathlessness are back again, seen GP tonight possible anxiety causing the breathlessness. It's a vicious circle... Have to have ECG but only could get an appointment in a months time. It's ridiculous I'm going to be more anxious now waiting for the ECG appointment. ☹️

Changing symptoms
Hi I'd appreciate some advice on others experiences with AF. I'm currently waiting for an ablation but have recently had a quite a dramatic change in symptoms. My episodes are now far closer together i.e 4-6 weeks is now almost every other day. I use flecainide as a PIP and that stops the episodes usually

Erratic BP and Pulse measurements after taking Preds for 5.5 years and v slow tapering
Diagnosed w GCA in May2017. Finally, using the v slow tapering method, took my last Pred on Sep 13th 2022. Since then BP shot down to below 120/90. Mine has always been around 135/75 on meds. My pulse rate, normally around 75 shot up to 133. Is this to be expected? I’m having a blood test and ECG today

More decisions!!
Well I saw Dr Pepper yesterday and all much as expected. I've moved to persistent AF and a cardioversion would be pointless. I keep self converting the back to AF. Sob. So options are... Live with it as long as my rate comes down to the 80s, so will be trying Digoxin after my holiday in Norfolk.

Statins
I’ve been on atorvastatin for a long time. My cardiologist wants to switch to rosuvastatin for better cholesterol control. I’m aware of atorvastatin being one of those statins with potential for slowing advanced prostate cancer. Is rosuvastatin in that same category?

Can a med be cause this reaction
Hello all, I was diagnosed with Afib in July 2020. I had a cardioversion and returned to sinus rhythm. I was put on Eliquis and Diltiazem in Dec 2020. Since that time if I get hot my skin becomes very prickly like someone is snapping elastics all over my body. I then seek out a cool place quickly

CBD cream for pain
I was recommended by my physical therapist to try
CBD
cream for the after surgery hip pain. Does anybody have an experience with using it? I have an incision from the knee to the middle of the butt, and the pain is unbearable at night. Over the counter topical creams don’t help.

heart reading gadgets
i have an oximeter and a mini portable ECG monitor. I have had the oximeter longer, but it doesn’t record the heartbeat so I decided to get the ECG monitor to try and record episodes of heart rhythm disturbances that I get from time to time, eg AF and SVT. I get ectopics as well. When I’ve used them

High blood pressure
I'm currently in persistent afib with an ablation scheduled for 2 weeks time and I'm on holiday in Greece. A feature of this afib episode has been low blood pressure. I have had high blood pressure for all of my adult life but all of a sudden it was low and i was taken off all blood pressure medication

Ecg results
I had an ecg this morning and it said that my systolic reading was 88mmhg and my diastolic was 50mmhg. The nurse said that my blood pressure was a bit low 88/50mmhg. I don't know what will happen whether or not I will be put on medication or not. I am really worried. I just hope when I see the doctor

I have had a ecg this morning and it was fine but it says that my systolic reading was 88mmhg and my diastolic was 50mmhg. The nurse said that my blood pressure was a little low but it has never been low until today. I am not sure why. anyway, I hope that there is nothing bad wrong with me. I hope you

AF diagnosis and medication side effects
Have recently been diagnosed with Atrial fibrillation after a scary trip to hospital with heart rate over 200 bpm. I’m now taking Flecainide & Apixaban to manage the condition Whilst I wait to have an Ablation procedure. I’m feeling really fatigued and head feels ‘foggy’. Is this normal with AF? Or

Dilated pupils.
I’ve recently undergone surgery which may or may not have a bearing on this. I’m three weeks out, and the only medication I’m on is aspirin for clotting. I’m still taking my normal dose of 55mcg T3 split twice, but my activity levels although great for this soon are nothing like they were before.
