CBD oils
I found the only thing that helped the constant withdrawal symptoms was cannabis with THC.It gave me 30 mins sleep after 5 days of zero rest/sleep.
Try to stick with it as life off Pramipexole /Ropinirole is much better than that constant, non stop, intense augmentation of RLS symptoms.
Thankyou Joolsg,I do believe your right,I remember trying the oil with THC and did not like how it made me feel,I am determined to stop Pramipexole, I suppose I must persevere, its horrible to feel like there's no point in going to bed at all as I'm back downstairs within about 15mins..Its mentally comforting to know that fellow sufferers on this forum take the time to help with advice .
I am trying the oil with thc. I can't say I like it. I keep increasing the dose as it didn't seem to do anything. Now I have increased dosage and I don't like the way I feel. I was hoping for a relaxed feeling. Instead, I feel so dizzy and can't think clearly. I tried vaping. Don't like that either since it makes me cough. I was never a smoker, but I am going to keep trying it to see if that will relax me. I understand you have to keep playing with the dose til you get it right. I really want to feel that relaxed feeling. Is that possible?????
I had a rocky withdrawal from Ropinarole and the went on Tramadol and then reluctantly added Gabapentin before things settled for me. I tried CBD gelcaps and liquid but it did nothing for my RLS. I now have some rest in the evening and night for a change but I have to accept some side effects from these meds but nothing compared to the augmentation of previously. I hope you find something that works for you.
Thankyou Muftah36,I'm just gonna persevere with cutting down my Pramipexole, I've started taking Magnesium citrate as well as Gentle Iron so I'm hoping and praying these ease the terrible suffering every blooming night, thankyou for your reply.
I have tried very expensive CBD oil sweets and they did nothing at all. Hang in there. I am completely off Pramipexole now and feel so much better.
Oh,well done you,aye I'm gonna keep trying as I'm positive it's the right thing to do,it's a pity the gp's don't help,as mine is not really helpful so I'm doing what I believe is right for me,thankyou for your reply.
Yep- GPs have no idea how hellish withdrawal from dopamine agonists really is. I wish I'd taken a video to show them. If it were taught at medical school it would help.Dr Christopher Earley is doing a webinar on this for rls.org shortly.
It should be compulsory viewing for UK GPs.
Hi, you would need CBD oil with THC for it to help. I am in UK and have bought some via Project 21. It can help a little with sleep.
Thankyou Jumpey,I'm aware that the oil with THC would probably help more, think I'm gonna persevere, its just that there's no letup,it's every single night, some worse than others so the very thought of going to bed is a nightmare, thanks for taking the time to reply.
I slowly weaned off Pramipexole, it took me 2 years. In the later stages I used Endone 5mg (oxycodine) to help me with the horrendous withdrawal symptoms.
I now use Temgesic sublingual 200mcg tablets to successfully control my RLS.
I am using Hempland USA Cannabitol hemp CBD oil with outside lab tested for its accuracy. Just on ml of it can provide me with adequate sleep. But I don't see it has any benefits for RLS though.
Thankyou halperinchen, seems to me that the oil is not really the answer,at least not for RLS.im just gonna keep taking the lowest dose of the Pramipexole and hopefully wean myself off it .I'm not taking any opiads as advised,I might consider this, its like getting blood out of a stone trying to get things like opiads off my gp.
Hi. I have been using CBD oil and sleep capsules very successfully for a few years now. I buy it online from Lazarus Naturals. If there is a vet in your family you can get it for 60%off. I take one 25mg oil capsule and two 30mg sleep capsules 2 hrs before bed. Anytime you start CBD you should start off slow and work your way up to what works then stop. I do also take a low dose of 10mg THC just before bed in an edible which does help me get to sleep faster, however I don’t always use it and still no RLS. Hope this helps.
