beta blockers and anticoagulants
Medscape posted a long article about a research on beta blockers and how few RCTs have been done on their efficacy for AF. It was hard to interpret but seems that for some folk they make AF worse and for many the side effects are too negative. There’s also an article on over prescribing of anticoagulants

cardiac catheterization through the wrist?
My cardiologist is treating me for afib and possible CHF. He is bugging me big time to have a cardiac cath. to "rule out" CAD. I am resisting this, as many years ago I had a very bad experience with the femoral artery entrance way for the catheter procedure, and recovery was lengthy. The cardiologist

Hello to all you wonderful people. Without getting into a lot of detail, I will try and get straight to the point. I’ve been told I can make a novel out of one tiny incident…..lol After having a Holter monitor for 72 hours, my cardiologist wanted to see me right away. He said he was concerned with

Stress echo after effects
I had a dobutamine stress echo on Sunday which was pretty unpleasant and triggered my paroxysmal AFib. The AFib reverted on Monday morning but I am not feeling well since. Did anyone else have any after effects please?

what next heart rate high again and I am now symptomatic
I had heart bypass 2013 and pacemaker 2015 due to af and low hr. Then 3 years ago I started taking digoxin to lower high heart rates and it seemed to work. I have just been to Spain on holiday and ended up hospitalised 2 days due to chest pain and breathless all tests revealed no heart attack, echocardiogram

advice
I have been told I have Vasculitis not sure what type. Hospital sent for me as they were worried about my kidneys. After spending a worrying night in hospital I was told after a Anca blood test it was found it was only mild so was not put on steroids. Told just need routine blood test at GP surgery.

cardioversion within 3 weeks of ablation?
Despite playing by the book and doing everything I could, I’ve been back in persistent AFib for 4 days since my ablation two and a half weeks ago. The arrhythmia team had me in for an ECT today and are arranging an appointment for a cardioversion possibly this Saturday. Just wondering if anyone else

Interaction between liothyronine and cbd oil?
I have started on
cbd
oil from Holland & Barratt. The problem is I am on t3 only for my UAT. I currently dose this 3 times a day. I have only managed to find small bits of information re any possible interaction. I am only able to take the
cbd
oil in the evening to keep it away from my t3.

Does donating 1 liter of blood increase chance of going back into Afib?
I had surgical ablation on 9/8. Stayed in sinus rhythm for 2 weeks then back to Afib. I had a cardioversion 2 weeks ago and have stayed in sinus. I need to have 1 liter of blood drawn because my iron levels are too high. Does anyone know if taking out that much blood will increase my chances of going

Higher CSF/serum free-T4 ratio is associated with improvement of quality of life during treatment with L-thyroxine
An interesting paper. Note a parallel with Pernicious Anaemia/B12 deficiency in which some have low CSF B12 while having high serum B12. Asking the question, though the answer is almost certan, has anyone ever had their CSF thryoid hormone levels tested? On Twitter: [i]Johannes W. Dietrich @drjwdietrich

End of life - day 7
Mum’s challenging journey with
CBD
is approaching the end. She is now 7 days with no food or fluids. We said goodbye to my stepdad at his funeral on Wednesday. I’m just heartbroken and struggling to find the strength, it’s so emotionally draining saying goodbye every day.

Controversial!
This is probably a controversial subject. But has anyone tried:
CBD
or GABA or L-thianine or anything that is a bit off the grid? Maybe high dose supplements for the CNS? And if so, how did you find it?
