I was recommended by my physical therapist to try CBD cream for the after surgery hip pain. Does anybody have an experience with using it? I have an incision from the knee to the middle of the butt, and the pain is unbearable at night. Over the counter topical creams don’t help.

CBD cream for pain
I use both a CBD cream and then when my husband is not around to rub it on my back I use a CBD roll on to get as far as I can. I find it helpful. I also on other occasions use a heating pad. I do hope it works for you too. It does not eliminate the pain but makes it bearable. Feeling for and with you
Yes, I think it would help. A friend of mine makes the stronger THC creams, he has a good few people say that it's the only thing they have found to relive the pain. If you are UK, it's illegal (lots still make and use it) but legal in places where cannabis is in the US. Maybe try that? XXX ❤️
Not sure where you are but CBD does help with pain relief. I’m in the UK and use the following
H&B CBD Muscle Balm Ultra 50ml from Holland & Barrett

And Holistic Herb Premium CBD Oil Double Strength 30ml from Holland & Barrett
I run a cancer nonprofit. Many people report being helped with CBD. My husband (without cancer, but a long-time athlete), feels better with it as well. Go for the purest, least amount of additives. Carried in many stores if hemp-based. I believe you have to sign up in each state (a bit differently) to get Cannabis-based CBD.
Thank you to everyone who responded. I ordered the highest strength CBD balm (5000) online, and got a prescription for licodaine patches. I am very hopeful. I know this surgery pain is temporary, but considering our diagnosis every day counts, right? I am in US.
Yes CBD cream strength #5 is working great on me. I have metastatic breast cancer with spread to the lungs, plura, bones and liver. I have back pain that this works instantly on. Now all I need is something natural for the cough. Any suggestions?
Hi Mbogorad, I agree with your Physical Therapist. CBD is the way to go. As a retired Massage Therapist I used CBD for years on my clients. It is wonderful at reducing inflammation at the site. THC impacts serotonin, dopamine, and glutamate levels, which means that it reduces the perception of pain rather than just reducing the physical cause of it. CBD tinctures also work well. Taken internally the work systemically. My husband had hip replacement about 4 years ago & CBD worked wonders for his post-op pain. As with every else we use, it is always necessary to check with your oncologist first. My recommendation would be to purchase a quality product to get the results you are looking for.
This isn't about pain, but about healing incisions... Years ago one of my very conservative doctors told me that Vit E oil helps surface tissue heal. Since I've had cancer, once stitches have been removed or dissolved, I put Vit E oil on the incision twice a day. The scar from port placement is nearly invisible and when the port is being accessed, I need to show the doc or nurse where it is. I've bought most of the E oil on line.
Thank you for your recommendation. I am using oil that contains various vitamins, for cosmetic reasons, but unfortunately it does not do anything for pain.
i use CBD and CBD with THC cream and patches. it works for this body.
What strength of cbd&thc is your cream, and which brand? I bought a couple of CBD only and they seem to work for a bit and the relief is very short lived. Thank you very much.
i use 1:1. i have a mm card and purchase from dispensaries. CBD:THC is longer temporary relief, and i prefer it to NSAIDS; some patches work for 72 hours. i also take homeopathic arnicare tablets for pain & arthritis by Boiron.
